that was the impression I got when he was with the Pistons and virtually no change with the Lakers.
a prime example of raw talent didn't meet desire/work ethic/natural basketball abilities
Big men just can't get by only being post threats, gotta provide other things.
yes bish i agree with the general sentiment.
in Dre's case, I almost truly believe that he has the physical tools to be dominant esp. in today's small ball NBA if he had like Draymond type fire in him. Instead, he has horribly buttery hands and is usually playing like he's half asleep. Teams been fooled and we could be easily fooled as well that "culture" will turn this man into a monster he can be.. but it's probably not happening coz he's just innately a sweet boy. the biggest what could have been since Wayne Simien you bet bish
I don't think its heart or lack of trying, he's just not skilled. He's a really bad post player up who demands touches. And when he has the ball instead of making a move right away he drains 12 secs on the clock. So when he's forced to pass out there's barely anytime for the other players to run some action.
On the defensive end, he doesn't know where to be.
What makes someone like Draymond great is basketball IQ, Dre just doesn't have it. We saw him with the Lakers, and frankly there were better without him. I see the allure because of his nice stats but if you really watch I don't know why you want him
