I trust the Heat FO. For as much as some of you are mad cause you want every name that is available, just remember. We ran it back last year, people were mad, and we made the Final with our 3rd best player missing almost the whole playoffs. I trust these people with building a contender even if it is with names that are unheralded.

As long as he was willing to waive it for either team means we had no leverage. Wash took the best offer that was on the table. Just because we could've beat it doesn't mean it was actually on the table.
WE couldn't beat EXPIRING AND SECONED ROUND PICKS?!?
WE HAVE EXPIRING AND A BUNCH OF FIRST ROUND PICKS!!!
We have two 1st rd picks 18 this year and 2028. Don’t think 2030 can be dealt yet and if we could get OkC to take protections off i feel like it would have been done already. Reporters are selling false hope when the information is out there with a simple click and some research

What’s it to us as fans? The Suns are built bad. They won’t win anything and might get blown up in a year or two when the bill gets too high.
Here's a more depressing thought, Miami going after... LaVine and actually having to give up real assets for a worse player than Beal.
Lavine would provide much needed athleticism. He’s also the better defender.
What if Derozen could be had a reasonable price, thoughts?
He duplicates Butler's game, Miami needs a vet/proven playoff scorer from beyond the 3pt line, DeRozan isn't that.

2. Don't believe we'll get Dame. Won't happen.
3. What other moves can we makes with our picks and Herro/Duncan/Dipo/Lowry?
Just chose another team, a good one too, can't fault him for that.
Dame's not happening.
OG for Herro or Duncan is possible. Or John Collins. Not a lot of great perimeter talent available though, those don't fall off trees. Might be better off holdin' on to Herro in most scenarios

Listen, Beal really isn't that great of player.
And his contract is gross.
And apparently he's an uncompetitive loser as well.
The only problem is - he's much more helpful then Duncan + Dipo + Lowry.
So...WHO ELSE CAN WE GET FOR OUR POO POO PLATER?! We do have picks, and Herro.

I'm sorry, they got lucky to survive the playin.
Now they got a pass for an open layout and they missed it.
Right now there is zero trust in the Heat FO and the decisions they are making.

Well, Miami got past the play-in because Love wasn't cut, he asked to be cut. The FO did NOTHING to fill the hole left by PJ Tucker, much like they didn't fill the hole created by Crowder leaving after making the finals. At this point right now, I think the roster will be worse next year because Miami is going to have to sell off some players to get under the tax. At this point Miami fans better hope a star forces his way to Miami this summer.
2019... just got Butler and had the opportunity to acquire CP3 a month later (who had great numbers when Harden didn't play) and Miami wouldn't trade for him unless he declined his 3rd year option before the trade so they could chase Giannis in free agency. This FO gets so hung up on certain stars they let other high level players/stars go elsewhere when they could have them.
Where would this franchise be if Butler doesn't force his way to Miami?

The thing is, Beal was SO CHEAP.
1 first round pick should have gotton it done.
In the name of the holly Rex Chapman - How the hell did we not get it done?
WHAT'S THE ALTERNTIVE MOVE?

Salary dump coming when Lillard gets moved elsewhere. Jist be ready. Thats why you have to draft well every year.

I’m team lillard, let’s just pray that by draft night he asks out, even though Brooklyn has more to offer, he’s gone on record saying Miami is his first choice and bam is his “dawg” so if we have a decent offer of lowry, herro multiple first and jovic I believe Portland sends him here rather than a potentially better offer from Brooklyn

That’s maybe the ideal archetype
If the strikeouts continue to happen for that kind of a player, though, an elite wing scorer, albeit inside the 3 point line, would still be a net improvement over last seasons roster, no?

Beal just went to a team who's owner did everything it took to get KD and now Beal, he picked a team where one of the owners is willing to do whatever to build a team, he's got the stars, now it's time to add the role-players. He went to a great situation.

MettaWorldPanda wrote:Dame seems like another pipe dream just like Durant last year. Blazers have zero need for Herro and we are right back to square one of needing someone to eat these contracts in a 3 teamer. Tough scene tbh. Teams looking to burn it down are most likely not looking to add Herro at his price tag and neither the long term money of Robinson. We can’t just do a dump deal with Lowry and Oladipo because the tax bill will be to the moon adding all the impending guaranteed salary next year. Our team essentially needs Lowry to just expire next year.
If the front office is passing up on the sure thing all stars that come available and love Miami to strike out on pipe dream players who might become available and our owner is scared to pay the tax some serious conversations need to be had at the top

Beal chose to be a 3rd option paid to chill in the corner half the time. I get it, the Heat isn't for everyone.

Suns aren’t going anywhere with there stars. Will be a failed build. They’ll be starving for a true PG

What does it matter it's not like he'll play meaningful minutes or be part of the rotation.
