Miami has done this in the past with Shaq. Squeezed a couple of years out of Durant and go for a title. The main difference? We had superstar in the making Wade in our roster to make it work. Does Bam and Herro move the needle with KD the same way?

p.s: I know Shaq was younger than KD when we traded for him but much like KD, he had 2-3 years left in the tank at a high level. I see KD - if healthy - having a LeBron-type end to his career. He’ll drop over 20ppg until his mid-40s.

From what I read from you guys, Spo sucked this year. Understandable with all the drama surrounding Jimmy and his personal life, but…the dude is trying to save his job.

Save his job from what? Neither Micky nor Riley will fire Spo, and he's pretty much the consensus best coach at the moment. He'll likely bounce back this year after the main issues with his personal life & the team issue with Jimmy have been resolved.

Miami clearly doesn't have a D Wade potential player on the roster (unless you're high as a kite on Ware), so I think the comp is Butler-Herro-Bam core.

Miami should be able to keep enough salary and draft assets to be able to make one more trade for an impact player. Then it's a matter of convincing vets to come in to round out the roster.

One of the best-case scenarios I can see is Miami gets Durant (w/out including Ware) and Jrue Holiday in trades and gets C Paul, Westbrook, Achiuwa, Kennard (or Bruce Brown/McDermott), and Alec Burks to sign for the minimum or the exceptions if Miami has them.

Ware / Love
Bam / Achiuwa
Durant / Kennard / Highsmith
Herro / Westbrook / Burks
Holiday / Paul

It's a long shot, but...

If Durant trade is not done by Friday I don't expect it to get done

He’s gong to the wolves

Subs dgaf where he wants to go

Heat and rox are lowballing, spurs are saving for Giannis

Minny will offer up Randle picks etc and convince him to sign an extension there, at end of the day they are a title contender and money talks

This is dame 2.0 watch

You do know Randle is due an extension he will ask for max money right?

ANd that Phoenix has the higher payroll in the league and about to pay historic luxury taxes due to 2nd apron? Your dooming is misinformed.

I don't think Miami lands KD either but what picks is Minny sending out? Their draft capital is awful and the only decent is probably this years 17. They can't send out anything we can't match. Also, Randle is trash and they won't want to extend him at the near max unless they want to lock themselves into the 2nd apron as a lottery team again.

maybe they will do that because Matt Ishbia doesn't know anything about basketball

They can't just offer up Randle. Randle has a player option and he has more leverage than KD does. He can either opt out/opt in/or agree to a sign and trade. Does Phoenix want to pay Julius Randle over 40 million dollar per year for the next 4 years. Does Julius Randle want to be traded to PHX which make two trades in the last two offseasons. It isn't simple

Not getting 37 YO KD will end up like not getting Lilard.

A blessing in disguise.

I think this might be it. If you can't get him for cheap and he gives you an average of 60 games and is declining each year for 50M+ ... not sure you lose sleep over that especially if it means Ware 2 picks and another young prospect.

That's just bad business. Ready for the saga to be over with though

One thing about Randle is that he’s WAY better than Bam. I’m sure the Suns didn’t go into these negotiations thinking they would get a player of that elite caliber but they apparently can

Getting KD will be like when we traded Winslow for Iguodala and Crowder

And Tyler Herro is better than both of them combined. Had Pat made Herro available, the trade would’ve been done three weeks ago.

We know you love Bammy..

The suns can get Julius Randle for Durant huh.. and some of yall homer Heat fans dismissed my post because yall think Herro for Durant is out of the question…

You may not think Randle is better than Bam, thats fine.. but not even the biggest homer of Heat fans cant deny that randle is on another universe compared to Herro.. and yet some of these fans think hes this untouchable guy..

Herro is a limited offensive player with poor finishing ability and zero defense.

Heat trade:
Herro
Duncan Robinson
#20 pick

For Kevin Durant

Suns can flip Herro for another first, or multi firsts. We dont have to extend Herro and pay him like hes spida, curry or SGA because hes definitely not that guy, hes a sixth man at best..

We Keep Ware, Jovic and JJJ

Figure out what to do with Wiggins and Andersen contracts, try to flip wiggins for a protected pick and expiring
Release Rozier

Give more playing time to Larrson
Sign Davion Mitchell

Have cap space for the 2026 offseason

Thats how you start a rebuild for a franchise that needs an overhaul

Tyler Herro, Robinson, AND the #20 pick?! All that for 90-year-old Kevin Durant?! Please don’t be so generous.

“Herro and a pick for a Durant”

“Trading for Durant is like trading for Iggy and Crowder”

This has to be the lowest bb iq sub in ALL OF SPORTS combined. I’m ashamed of you two.

I’ll trade Herro for Durant and use all the other assets to get a 3rd star, doesn’t bother me at all. He’s due for his extension soon and you can win with him playing a major role in the playoffs
