I've been one of the biggest proponents of a Sexton/John Collins trade but strategically it doesn't make sense anymore. Only way you do it is if you think that's enough of a team to get us a top 5 seed next year. I think the FO has given continuous signals they don't believe in Herro and Bam like that.

I think the idea is if we're not tanking, at least give Herro and Bam something, anything to work with. So we're looking at the same aim, be a 5th seed. Team didn't even have a productive 8 man rotation last year.

Believe me, I want to have a team that isn't **** to look at next year too. So I'd love something that would get them that help and see what they can do (not like we have anything else to look forward to).

But realistically, how can we do that without compromising assets that would give us a shot at REAL talent next summer?

Is Rozier, Duncan, and Wiggins with no picks added enough to get us solid rotation players to fill the gaps? We still need a starting PG (imo, Davion is great backup material but not a starter) and a scoring big off the bench that can sometimes close when we go small with Bam at C.

Assuming Jovic is showcased and moves full time into the starting lineup, we have:

PG/Davion
Herro/Larsson
Jovic/Highsmith
Bam/?
Ware/?

How are we filling those gaps with just giving up trash and not compromising real assets that can be used for 2026?

I hate trading with Charlotte lol, but maybe Tre Mann? I think he would be a good pg rotation with Davion

What i’ve been saying all along. Flip his contract for a true expiring and pick or young asset.

What does our usual trade partner Memphis have to offer us.. we have a history with them

We gave them eddie jones
They gave us antoine walker, james posey, white chocolate
They gave us iguodala, hill, jae crowder for our trash

Time to call our buddies again and see what they are throwing out there

Please stop comparing Herro to Booker, a lot of you just do it to yourselves. He’s not near that level of player, he has done nothing significant in a Heat jersey to warrant such delusion. Just let him be and let’s see if he figures out a way to show up in the playoffs when it matters. Stop comparing him to far superior players.

They have no assets. They have expiring deals, sure, not he's worth more than Gabe and Rui. Unless they're tossing in Knecht, I don't see it.

They have a 1st and Knecht who you mentioned but we might just be looking to shed the extra years on his contract at this point

Vincent, Hachimura, and Knecht for Wiggins and Highsmith makes a whole lot of sense. Vincent and Hachimura both expiring. Then we can flip Hachimura and Anderson.

So, if it's the Lakers, we're looking at Rui and Gabe most likely. I won't include Knecht here. Resign Mitchell, go with this?

Pg: Mitchell / Vincent / Smith
Sg: Herro / Highsmith / Larrson
Sf: Jovic / Jacquez / Burks
Pf: Bam / Hachimura / Anderson
Cc: Ware

I would like to think we could find a way to get another scorer in there at small forward and have Jovic coming off the bench
