i understand people are shocked he's gone. but whatever, just move on. its not about who we don't have. its about who we have right now and that's Wade and Bosh. we have a chance to be competitive and give him and the Cavs a run for their money. let's shock the world.

we're the MIAMI HEAT, not the LEBRON HEAT. we won before him, we'll win after him.

I actually am in a different way. We aren't contenders but there are a lot of new good players coming in, teams in the West getting stronger, East wide open to an extent now, more exciting teams, our own 1-2 punch with Bosh/Wade. As a basketball fan it will be interesting to see how the next season plays out.

It's way too early to worry about the new season, but my only concern is that the Pacers might have gotten the most benefit out of all of this ordeal. It sucks but such as life. I have no doubt that we CAN be one of the top teams in the East. Need to fill a few more holes, and a GREAT SYSTEM to be installed.

Again i hope we show fiscal responsibility and keep an eye on 2016.

Two of the most important things we need to do is make sure Wade and Bosh make the allstar team and play in the olympic team. Why? To make friendship with super stars and plan our next big 3 verion 2.0

My personal opinion is that LeBron's reason for leaving the Heat – to "return home" - is utter nonsense. He's proved that he hasn't changed since 2010; he may have announced his decision in a different way, but his reason for leaving was the same. LeBron simply saw the Heat aging; he saw that we wouldn't remain competitive for titles much longer, and so he left for a more youthful team that would give him the opportunity to win rings and cement his legacy. While he helped us get two titles, he still wouldn't have won it without the support of the organization, and the team that Pat Riley and co. built around him.

For him to simply get up and leave without giving us the requisite time to sign other "big time" FAs is annoying, especially since he knew of his decision last week. He likes the attention, he likes to be talked about, and he's a prima donna. That being said, I personally hope he never wins another ring again (even though he will, most likely). I still think Riley needs to quickly put this behind him and address our needs at SF, PG, and C. We don't have much money left, unless Wade and Haslem take significantly less money. I think our greatest need is at PG, since we just lost somebody who helped orchestrate our entire offense.

I would throw some money at Bledsoe and see what happens. Sell him on the idea of living in Miami and playing with Bosh and Wade.

heatlespeatles wrote:eh, i always knew, always, Sonny Carson knew too, we frequently said we knew he's going back but not this year. Really thought he was going to give us two more years and then leave. I could put any amount of money on it.

This shocked me. I felt like choosing between Miami and Cleveland was too difficult. Our city has the flash that someone like Lebron was born for, everything about it. Thats why i kept saying damn, that country boy loves Cleveland that much? Well Ohio -- that he really is leaving prematurely to be there. Yes he does and the clues were all over. We just ignored it. But when he played for us, he gave his ALLLLLL. That i know.

Eh....again as I say winning titles here should have kept him. I also say this because of the Decision and the Letter from Gilbert. Many also thought no way he could ever put money in that owner's pockets, the backlash from the fans with burning his jerseys, making jokes about his mom and family, pissing on urinal cakes with his face etc.

As I am sure you are aware I have nothing against him in the aftermath and remain a fan of his game. He's a great-great player. Hell I will still watch some of his games (but without a rooting interest, not against him or for him). I know he gave us his all but you would have thought he knew how poorly run the Cavs were (have been until last season, the re-hiring and re-firing of Brown was   ) and how well-run this franchise is would have made his decision easier. Sure our roster doesn't look as good but I am sure Riley would have re-tooled around him.
