I'm encouraged that this draft looks deep enough t find real talent at #20 (and probably the second round too) IF you really nail the pick.

Some good talents will surely drop down this year because of the unusual scouting process. We'll get our chance.

What level of a player are you expecting?

We can't really "expect" much at #20, but we can hope. I'm hoping that with some luck and good scouting we find an above average starter on a good team type player. Someone who fits our needs on the court and the culture off it.

Derrick White
John Collins
OG Anunoby
Dillon Brooks
Malik Beasley
Caris LeVert
Pascal Siakam
Dejounte Murray
Delon Wright
Malcolm Brogdon
Larry Nance
Josh Richardson
Kevin Huerter

All these guys were picked in that #20 - #40 range the last few drafts, and there are a lot more. I'm hoping for someone that ends up better then half of this list. That's going to be a good NBA player.

I agree, you can get plenty of value in picks around #20. Occasionally you can get a slider - guys like Anunoby were projected lottery picks and fell down to around 22-23. Crazy chit happens in drafts, and this one should be crazier than most.

A couple guys who haven't been talked about enough around here probably:

Tyler Bey, SF/PF, Colorado, 22yrs old
Stats: 13.8ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5spg, 1.2bpg, 2.4tpg, 29.0mpg on 53%fg, 41.9% 3fg (0.4 per) and 74.3%ft
Combine Measurements: 6'6" w/out shoes, 6'7" with shoes, 7'1.25" wingspan, 8'9.5" standing reach, 37" no step vert, 43.5" max vert and 5% body fat. 216lbs.

Obvious comparison would be a poor man's Shawn Marion, but he looks like a solid option as a 4 in today's NBA. He shot a good % from three albeit a low number of attempts, but assuming the J translates, he would be worth a look. Was the PAC-12 DPOY.

Robert Woodard II, SF, Mississippi State, 21yrs old
Stats: 11.4ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.3apg, 1.1spg, 1.0bpg, 1.9tpg, 33.1mpg on 49.5%fg, 42.9% 3fg (1.0 per game) and 64.1%ft.
Combine Measurements: 6'7" in shoes, 7'2" wingspan and 4.5% body fat, 230lbs (all I could find).

Woodard also finished 4th at the combine in spot up 3's (75%) and also equal 6th in the 3-point star drill (65%). For the record, MWP/Rex's boy Quickley graded very similar.

My comp's would be OG Anunoby or Dorian Finney-Smith. Both handy players that would fit for a contender, and he brings elite length to the wing/4 position.

Can he be the next Herro? Meaning a great shooter with underrated passing and handle?

I know Jalen Smith and Mcdaniels and Bane , Joe, Kira Lewis, Ramsey and others were also supposed to be participants in the draft. I cant find out if they participated in the shooting drills. It would be helpful to know all who participated and who declined. Nwora and Winston really helped their stock here.

Twix’s boy Nwora came to play.

He’s Nigerian too? Sign this man.

Wouldn't draft Jalen Smith over Desmond Bane at 20, he's too skinny.

Who cares if he's skinny? Are we playing prime Shaq?

Give me the shot blocking mobile big with a 3 point shot to put next to Bam - that's the perfect guy for us.

I hate Bane BTW. I can just tell be the way he moves he'll struggle on the next level.

Updated Wish list :

Jalen Smith (perfect fit)
Kira Lewis Jr (could become PG of future)
Patrick Williams (poor man's Kawhi IMO)

Second round (Teams will be selling picks) :

Jay Scrub (someone mentioned him earlier, looks like high ceiling high risk type, really impressive potntial)
Immanuel Quickley (Wish he was a bit more explosive, could've been a first rounder)

I feel like it’s really possible we get 2 rooms again - though I’m not ruling out trading the 20th in a deal for someone like Dipo. I think it’s a good chance we buy into the 2nd like many are thinking.

If we keep both, I think get one of:
Anthony/Lewis/Quickley/Terry/Maxey
and one of:
Smith/Nnaji/Reed/Oturu

Outside chance we add a wing, but I don’t see it.

I'm really curious what Indy will do when they find out Dipo trade value is very low.

I like him panda, But do you like him at #20?

He seems like the perfect second round guy, but a bit small and lacking some explosiveness if you plan to play him at SG.

Then Again, I thought Bam and Hero were a big reach too.
