He's earning more minutes but with Duncan finally looking good, Vincent bringing great energy, Martin looking like MJ and Herro making the leap - I'm not sure where this all is going. not enough minutes to go around at guard.

And That's before Dipo enters the rotation.

A good problem to have.
Robinson will have his mental farting moments, and it is really nice to have a guy like Strus to play the exact role. Also there may be times when all three (Herro, Robinson, Strus) play at the same time to spread the floor for Butler/Bam. I mean, this personnel problem gives a coach many strategic options, me thinks.

I would hope the new Robinson contract was the only way this summer of having a sizeable tradable contract while Butler, Bam and Lowry are making the big bucks.

If you look at the potential roster this year by the playoffs...
PG - Lowry, Vincent, (or Butler can handle these duties). <- a need to upgrade backup PG for a deep playoff run.
SG/SF - Butler, Robinson, Oladipo, Herro, Strus, Martin <- too many for 3-4 spots in the rotation.
PF - Tucker, Morris <- A definite need to upgrade backup PF.
C - Bam, Dedmon <- Might be ok here, not the best but fine.

I hope with Riley going all in with Lowry who is an older player, he's going to make at least 1 sizable move to try to give this roster the best chance of competing for a championship. Pat's 76, if he can't get a championship with older players like Butler and Lowry, it's probably not going to happen for him in the next 5-7 years because Miami will just lose that talent for nothing as they age out of being as effective as they currently are and who knows how much time Riley has, he seems to be in good shape but that doesn't mean 90 is in the cards.

Without a player who is a front runner for MVP, this team cannot leave value on the bench not playing and believe they've really had a chance to win a title.

Lavine and Brown Jr. now in Covid protocols, prepare for the worst. This game should’ve been rescheduled for Christmas tbh.

He’s shown he can at worst case come close to replacing Duncan. Trading Duncan is the only logical move to get better and go all in based on salary.

We’ll see what we do but we brought in Jimmy and Lowry with them under the assumption we would do everything in our power to win.

All that efficiency and with so many players out ZERO 4th quarter(some consider the 4th quarter the toughest quarter) minutes so far in the month of December. What an absolute waste of a tweet. Who cares how efficient of a player someone is if they're not scoring(12.8 ppg this month) much at all?

To get his ppg up to 15 for the season he'd have to average 17+ the rest of the way. I don't think that's possible. He'll probably finish the year averaging around 12-13 ppg.

Sucks because I too was predicting he'd be at 15 this season.

He'll be back in late Feb / early March. Still a ways away.

Taking him away from therapy. See if he can handle everyday traveling without any problems. He will probably do drills as well. To evaluate if he has any pain/soreness/discomfort.

Good to see they have a committed plan and they are not rushing him back. Gives him a better chance to return with less problems. So he can focus more on his game than his health when he returns. Allows him to be more confident in his knee.

The main goal is to have this roster playing close to 100 by April.

Thats fine. Its possible but its not needed. As long as he is playing around 15 pts per game for the rest of the season.

Send Duncan to Sioux falls and don’t bring him back till he averages 45% 3 pt shooting over 5
games.

Duncan Robinson can be traded on Jan 15th and i think he will. Robinson attached with KZ gives us 17.3 million in tradeable contracts. Since the Heat need to stay below the tax with the next two seasons in mind they will look for a contract in return that has a a few million less coming in. Think 15 million dollar player for the 17.3. This then allows us to convert Martin and possibly have enough for a buyout player with last roster spot.

Good to see Duncan's found his groove recently. Imagine trading players each time they have a bad stretch of gm's. I think many shooters have been through numerous slumps in their careers.

He spaces the floor & is a focal pt for defenses. Duncan will play a significant part of any championship run w/ the Heat.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Return to Miami Heat
