I don't get it.... we treated PJ right and with respect and showed him nothing but love. Then immediately bolts for the door when un actually we're offering more money as we don't have a state income tax. So even though our dollar amount is lower on paper he's actually getting more money from us when you factor the taxes. Are players ego's that fragile? Or is it something to do with the organization?
I couldn't imagine making the type of money these players make for playing a game 99.9% of the world plays for fun and being fussy over "its not the highest dollar amount possible, do you not respect me?" Kinda sounds like a child that never grew up to me.
If I was in the NBA and I was good people would think I'm crazy. I'm the type of guy that would opt out and take the mle somewhere just to prove my point. With that many mills in my bank account I'd be so well invested and diversified that any contract I earn is just cherry on the icing. But then again I wouldn't be buying a mansion let alone multiple with 20 cars for each house and rolexes for everyone. These guys are horrible with their money.
