When I'm sure we'll hear we made a move and got a steal of a scoring guard.

Be on the look out for Pelle Larsson. We worked him out late in the process

Bronny ain't going to the Heat. They make a fuss about Jimmy and Herro media stuff, they ain't tolerating that for a borderline undraft prospect

For those of you that have seen him play, since we don’t have better options, do we immediately move Bam to the 4, put him at 5 and then live with the results?

He’ll be Bams backup year 1 for sure. Jovic will start at the 4. You’ll see us experiment with Bam at the 4 in spurts long before we go full time (if ever).

I wish I could get more hyped about this pick, but I’m struggling. I guess it would demonstrate a fundamental philosophical shift from Spo to consider the 2 big scenario. Unless we’re considering using him as Meyers Leonard +, which is probably a disservice to Ware and what else he can bring to the table.

Heat scouts are good and I trust their judgement, but personally I would’ve felt a lot more comfortable addressing needs in McCain or Knecht given both were on the board and available.

I hope Keshad Johnson falls to us at 43. Player we worked out originally projected in that range.

Johnson has been mocked to us plenty at 43. High possibility.

If my guy Furphy makes it there he’d be a nice get IMO.

My hope for 43 at this point:

Tyler Kolek - fits a need at the backup 1, McConnell vibes.

Johnny Furphy - Aussie boy who has good size and a nice shooting stroke.

Kyle Filipowksi- KO redux who could learn under KLove.

Nikola Djurisic - I like this dudes game. Think he can contribute.

Hell maybe even Bronny for the extreme lols

If it not were the terrible in season tournament the 2 day draft thing would have been the lamest thing about the NBA this year (aside from Boston winning)

I don't like him. Moves in a robotic way, feels slow and not enough creation.

KJ Simpson and Ajay Mitchell look more promising, they have that shake in their games, play more aggressive which we need.

Ware has MUCH higher upside then both McCain or Knecht, his combination of size, mobility and touch is very rare and impossible to add outside the draft.

We got BPA, now it's up to use to maximize him. I'm very confident he has starter talent, Imagine having a Myles Turner type defender next to Bam that can also score inside and stretch the floor...it can change the entire completion of the team - we go from undersized to supersized :

now we've got elite length inside - elite rim protection, elite rebounding, easy lobs and dunks.

Big factor will be Ware's ability to hit 3's when playing next to Bam - We know we worked Ware out and You've got to believe he impressed them with his outside shot

I hope he has the right mindset and attitude. Sky is the limit for the kid, he has all the tools.

He could be the next WCS or the next big thing here in Miami.

I will say Adam Simon seems pumped. Described Ware as a “3&D Center”. Clearly they feel good about his ability to shoot and his motor.

Time will tell Rex. Of course if Ware develops into a unicorn, it’s a great pick. If he flounders and can’t get on the court, gets played off the court or doesn’t mesh with Bam, we’ll be frustrated we didn’t pick Knecht (who would give us cost controlled shooting/scoring and allow us to move Duncan or Tyler) or McCain (arguably the best shooter in the draft at a position of need).

I honestly hope you’re right on this one. I agree that Ware has elite tools and on paper, fits a big need. I also have question marks on Spo’s ability to utilize him to his best ability, but we’ll see what happens.

If he can be Dereck Lively with a 3 ball, I’m here for it. Particularly if he can actually defend the PnR at a high level.
