Definately not trading Jovic and JJJ for Lauri lol
Lauri wont move the needle.
Only trade i'd make is getting DeRozan as a 6th man.If he buys into that. Otherwise run it back

After sleeping on it, I think I’m coming around to trading all our assets for Lauri’s expiring deal and giving him a max extension under the punitive tax aprons.
Or it could be gas….

Sure, let's trade it all for a big goofball that's been mid (at best) for most of his career, with one flukey sympathy all-star appearance due to playing for the chitty host team, who regressed last year, and who's teams have made a grand total of ZERO PLAYOFF APPEARANCES in his 8-year career. FOH.

So the Jimmy/Bam duo isn’t as good as advertised you say, got it

I’m more intrigued by the fit than I am concerned about the lack of accomplishments
He’s one of a very small group of players who represents an elite version of the Meyers Leonard archetype.
His ability to pull Centers away from the paint opens the door wide open for Jimmy n Bam to operate
And if other teams want to guard Lauri with a smaller more mobile defender, he can just shoot right over the top.
I think Spo would have a lot of interesting options if given this chess piece

This is why it’s so hard to deal Herro and Duncan. Why take on all that money when you can sign a Beasley for 6 million

So Lauri is the new great stretch 4 God for this room. The mythical 4 that unlocks legendary 3rd deminsion offense.

Chances of lauri coming here is 1%.. the plan should be focused onto the 2026 free agency. We have 1.5 years to get Herro out of here to clear up room for 2026. Dont offer any extensions to duncan, butler, to herro, to anybody. Bring a young star in 2026 to play with Bam.
Try to get draft picks for herro, butler, jovic and duncan while we are at it.

DeRozan is looking 25 and more a year. If the Heat are working a three team deal they will be moving around about 30 mill at least to a third team.

Im not sure its hard, we just need to be honest with ourselves and know its going to take additional draft compensation on our part to move them. Pool was moved with a first round draft pick, thats the market for Herro and his contract. The less teams that have cap space the more expensive that cap space becomes, simple supply and demand.

You only get DeRozan if you dump Herro.

Does the Heat now have a perimeter defender besides Butler?

I’m guessing Detroit is done as an option which leaves trades taking in less money or dealing with the devil Ainge.
