These guys have played such heavy minutes, trying to carry their respective franchises. This move will add years onto their careers because now, nobody has to do it on their own.

It's funny how athletes get bashed for being selfish, or players trying to be 'the man'...and these guy are doing neither. They've taken less money, given the team flexibility in terms of spending, AND they are sacrificing individual accolades...yet they get bashed.

Oh well, THEY MAD!

He is slower than Shaq, can't play defense, can't rebound...Why not Eric Montross or Rik Smits !

Shaq is also slow, can't be bothered to play all the time, a disruptive influence and a bitch.

I'd take Z over him everytime.

We need a center, but I hate pretty much all the centers on the market (yes including Z, he's worse than Shaq now).

It'd be nice if Riley could pull another Ike Austin out of his hat, but we wouldn't know it until the season started. Hopefully if Pittman really works hard the next few months, he can be that guy.

I don't know about you guys but seeing Lebron in a Heat jersey looked pretty weird to me. Guess it will take time to get used to this. :lol:

Its kind of bizarre really. Bosh looked fine to me, but LeBron was just weird. Hard to explain, its like something you never thought you'd see.

Its funny that he's unpopular in just about 30 of 30 NBA cities, even in Miami I don't think we have truly embraced him yet as one of us. Heat fans don't even defend him on these boards yet.

Someone in Bill Simmons' mailbag put it best, getting Wade and Bosh was like winning the 5 million dollar jackpot, really cool. But getting LeBron was like winning the 300 million dollar powerball... still cool, but you get way more unwanted attention and hangers-on.

The center position is really a problem for us. I think the difference between getting to the finals and winning the championship depends on whether we get a decent center or not.

Hopefully, Dexter Pittman can realize the opportunity he has right now (to become the starting center for a championship caliber team) and work like crazy.

Big Z, Shaq, Wallace are all really old. We should stay away from them.. Same as Fisher I just don't like him.

It doesn't make sense getting Miller and Mason if we can get Q-Rich cheap. I believe Mason, JR is more than a minimum guy.
Roger Mason is also just as short as Q and had worst numbers last year...I don't get this one but who cares, who am I to question Pat Riley.

i read somewhere he wants a new start....even dwade considered switching #'s too but decided against it in the end, also i think something to do w/ being skinny in terms of appearance w/ #4 and #1
