He’s an elite player with a potential low price tag part of which due to fake rape allegations that again are so fake that lawyers are even refusing to defend them lol. Like you said, we’ve brought in several players who have beaten their wives/girlfriends. These fake allegations will be gone and swept under the rug by the time training camp even starts. Hell maybe you can snag a Trey Murphy/Herb Jones out of this if we throw some decent assets in there.

I dont see where the Heat draw the line with this stuff, you can beat your woman all you want but don’t get accused of fake rape by some thot trying to get a handout? I wonder if when Ant ever becomes available if we’ll pass on him considering he’s lowkey a piece of **** person off the court
Zion will be working for BangBros soon

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Thibs always wears out his welcome and the team runs its course of teasing success within a 3-4 year window. All-out overdrive regular season, high effort defense and rebounding advantage that becomes less potent in postseason (when everyone's effort matches), offense structured to inflate the lead guard at the expense of quality team offense. This story has played out multiple times already.

I was just saying that there is a better chance of the Bam-AD combo happening at Dallas than here. So the hypothetical deal would be Bam + some assets for Flagg

I'd honestly trade Herro and Bam for Flagg if that's what it took. Mitchell, Flagg, Ware, Jovic, plus a lottery pick the next season to get a 2 guard sounds a lot better than everything else I've seen.

What would be the motive to trade Flag?

I'm just responding wit a hypo. Bam and AD in Dallas would be crazy good given the current NBA. I doubt they are gonna trade Flagg. I was just saying I'd rather include Herro in the trade vs other assets was more inline for team building given our current stable of other assets. I'd probably blow it up if the Spurs offered #2 for Bam as well but if Micky and Pat really just locked in Herro so they really DGAIF what the eye test says are committed to Tyler Herro.

Couple of key reminders from Riley's press conference

“(That playoff series) might have put the final nail in thinking we got to tear everything apart and rebuild. We’ve never done that,” Riley said. “Thirteen times, we’ve always found a way to rebuild (into) a team that was respected, that was a contender.”

Riley admitted that the Heat, who have been in the luxury tax for each of the past two seasons, would like to stop surpassing that threshold every year, especially with harsher repeater penalties about to take effect. “We have to make an adjustment,” he said. “It gets punitive financially. It’s not a priority, but it is in order to manage the financial part of the team. We will try to get out and then back in and reset it.”

Riley isn’t permitted to talk about players on other rosters, and reporters didn’t ask him specifically about Kevin Durant, but the Heat president faced questions about whether the team needs to acquire an “alpha” and whether he’d be willing to trade for an “aging” star. Riley didn’t rule out either scenario. “For us, if that player is the right name and the contract is the right length, I still think an aging player can play,” Riley said. Regarding the idea of adding an alpha, he stated: “If that talent can help and he’s humble, that’s fine. If it translates to winning, that’s all that counts.”

According to Riley, the Heat are “moving forward” with Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. Regarding a possible extension for Herro, Riley said the front office wants the veteran guard to remain in Miami for the rest of his career and indicated that a new deal this summer is a possibility, but not a given. “We’ve already talked about it. I’ve talked about it with Tyler. You’ll see what happens as we plan,” Riley said “… Definitely Tyler is deserving of the thought of an extension. But are we going to do it? We haven’t committed to it. But we’re going to discuss it. I’ve already talked to him about it. He’s cool (with whatever happens).”

VJ Edgecombe for 11 mil or Tyler Herro extension for 50 mil. I think the Hornets are just going to stick with Edgecombe.

Durant to the Heat dream is fading. Looking like a two horse race here. Like Twix has mentioned this is pretty much already done. This is essentially coming across as KD's list.

There's potential good to another dev year (esp with a tactical light tank to maximize the 2026 pick)

Riley mentioned some lateral moves that can be made in order to surround Bam and Herro with better talent. I still think we will be pretty active but the light at the end of the tunnel is keeping that cap sheet as big as possible for 2026. Opens up plenty of opportunities whether it's a max player or asset building by taking on picks and contracts. Not all doom and gloom for sure. Get some useful expiring contracts back in here that can contribute. Top on my list right now has got to be CJ McCollum.
