Forget Allen, go for Camby and Lewis. Don't waste your time going after a guy that doesn't want to leave Boston.

. Allen still Heat's priority. But there's concern about losing other options in process. Real MIA interest in Camby/Lewis if Allen balks.

assuming miller retires or takes the year off after his back surgery:
chalmers - cole
wade - allen - harris
bron - jones
lewis - battier
bosh - haslem - joel

whatever bad blood there is between Ray and Boston, we have to remember we are their arch nemesis. There's got to be more hatred for Miami than there is Boston, in rays mind. We bounced them 2 years straight.

Ray has all his contract options already on the table. He has to pick soon, or else we will miss out on Camby

Pat will know by Thursday night if Ray is coming or not. Camby is still talking to Houston so there is still time.

I want Ray-Rashard Lewis or Camby-Lewis and trade Joel for another Guard.

Rashard Lewis would be great for this team. Bring him in off the bench for a spark and to space the floor for Bosh, LeBron and Wade.

wouldn't he decide after friday's meeting with clippers? the only thing i don't get is that lac is rumored to have offered the full mle at jamal crawford (who's in LA today).

If Ray wanted to come to Miami it would be done by now.

He comes to Miami if he wants the best chance to win another ring and get a lot of easy 3 point shots. He doesn't need to vist Miami or anyone else to make that decision.

He is using us like Mo Williams like "add other name" have done for the last few seasons.

Forget Ray and move onto your second priority Riley.

We are trying to get players to take less money than they can get elsewhere so we need to show them that we want them. waiting until next week because Ray ray can't give you his "No" now will only put off the other decent players because it'll be seen as lack of respect.

Get someone else to say yes and you can always go back to Ray and say "decsion time sucker".

Of course we have interst in him. But we have no cash for him. If Jordan Hill is looking for a chance to show case his talent, then Miami maybe a spot for a one year deal. Miami could offer him playing time and a chance to showcase himself to other GM's and fans. At this point, almost anything is better than Joel Anthony. I love Joel's energy but the guy is by far the worst offensive big man the NBA has ever seen. We need someone that can rebound(Can't), Defend(CAN), Shoot(Can't) and Pass(Can't catch or shoot). I want Marcus Camby above all!

i don't think that's how riley works. he has very specific targets and will not panic and throw money at plan c or d. he believes in the right fit and that's why he cornered shane battier in december. notice you haven't heard a peep about miami being interested in jamal crawford?

And we've seen Pat wait and lose out on good alternatives.

Ray allen is playing the Heat for suckers.

I agree.

I also think we don't even need Ray Allen. We need A BIG MAN CENTER!!!!!! We have Shane Battier, James Jones, hopefully a healthy Miller, Terrel Harris.....we can find young energy guys who can shoot the ball easy. That's not hard. There's tons of them.

You guys remember a great shooter for us off the bench, Rasual Butler a few years ago? The Toronto Raptors have waived forward Rasual Butler..... he's only 32 or 33 yrs old.

as much as camby looks good, i think camby is doing the same thing - we just won a championship, seams like this would be easier

Collin says Camby is leaning Miami

March 23, 2012

The Toronto Raptors have waived forward Rasual Butler

The irony of Rasual Butler getting his release from the Raptors and possibly returning to the Bulls is that he said he was told he was next on the Heat's list in December if Shane Battier didn't sign.
----------------------------------

Why don't we take both of them now and go get Camby? :)

Camby is much more of a sure thing than Allen is. Ray probably hates our team, and the chance he will forgive Boston and accept that large contract offer is greater than the chance he will sign with us. Camby wants to be a part of a winning team before he retires.

CAMBY + RASUAL BUTLER is my choice.

The Nets are going for the Dallas combo to beat the Heat if they get Howard

They will have the perimeter defender in Wallace, and Howard to meet Lebron when he drives past Wallace
Stop being so disrespectful.

Although I am not in the room or on the phones, i just thought at 12:01a July 1, agents would be calling us, instead of us waiting for MLE and VET players to make a decision. Other players salaries so far has a lot to do with it, i know

This is what I want, if it was up to me :

chalmers - cole
wade - rasual butler - harris
bron - battier - jones
bosh - haslem
camby - joel - pittman

we would have 2 more spots to fill.
