The Lakers will make a play. Houston is also in play if they want to replace Dwight.

That was no shot @ whiteside lol... How do his numbers/stats hurt the team? If anything it keeps us afloat. It isnt like we feed him enough attempts to mess us up. I guess his offensive rebounds/blocks really do hinder our chance of winning. :nonono:

Whiteside has better numbers but Gobert is a better defender so I could see why maybe he doesn't want people to look down on him because he's averring 9pts 10rebs 2.7blks compared to Hassan's 12pts 11rebs 4blks but even then why hate?

Also HWR Blancoté is Whiteside in french... I just realized that.

These guys need to go get laid and back up off Hassan's tip. Don't hate because he's more famous than the 3 of them combined.

I guess. And at the same time, dude missed out majority of the season (so far) with his weak ass lanky body, getting injured in practice and all. He's the one to talk (If it was directed at Hassan)

But good to see some envy from Rudy.

Yeah idk wtf he meant by that french word.

I love it though, summed up perfectly. True saying of "Haters gonna hate"

Maybe wanted to feel included high up in the AS votes? :dontknow: Speaking of which...

story at the Herald
On Hassan Whiteside: Van Gundy: “What's interesting is they're a little bit easier to guard when he's on the floor than when Bosh is at five. They certainly have an interesting decision to make at the end of the year. You never know how somebody is going to react to security, either positively or negatively.”

The scout says Whiteside’s rebounding and shot-blocking gifts are obvious but "he’s still limited offensively, struggles to finish around the basket. He has lapses in concentration and that hurts him a bit." He also said his "motor" isn't always good enough but he would still try to re-sign him if he were Miami.
Like the scout, I too will try to re-sign him If I were Riley but not for $20m...

So then you wouldn't try to re-sign him. He will not be getting anything less than the max.

Again, no way Whiteside gets paid the max and i believe we let him walk if he demands it. but he won't walk because most likely what ever number Riles negotiates w/ him he will accept. The number will be something Riles will be able to work w/ in regards to singing a big name. Whiteside will either take it or i believe we let him go. But Riles will do all he can to keep him for the amount he will offer.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

If that's true and the Heat thinks they cannot make a deal for him this off-season, should the Heat trade him before the deadline or hold on to him so he can help us in the post season and let him walk in the summer for the Lakers as you see???

To stop it the Heat need to offer him the Max. simple.

How about you play on a team that's over .500? When's the next Jazz game so Haslem can end this guy's career?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

We don't play them again until next season. We do play the Magic again though.

Vucevic was asking Gobert to whom he was subtweeting, Gobert responded with a wimpy joke about Fournier(he likely know's him or what-not) and Fournier alluded to Whiteside with his question marks... they didn't really go for his neck... but regardless, it's out there now

Gobert's right though. Counting stats are counting stats....but you're silly if you think Whiteside hinders the team more than helps because of it. Heat fans just want him to help MORE by becoming a better individual and team defender. That's it.

I love Pat but i know he makes mistakes and is not perfect.

Ask yourself that same question, why would you take less when another company offer more?

Ask yourself why take a back seat when another company wants you to be a star?

Ask yourself why you would even give your employer the time of day if he does not want to give you market value while other companies are dying to hire you?

People look at the 20 mil and freak out not realizing how the salary cap is jumping next year and the year after that. Max contracts are relative to the years in the league. As an example Whiteside at 20 will be cheaper than Dwight contract. Players are going to get paid this offseason. Lebron and Durant can sign a max this offseason but wont, instead they will sign a two year deal with the last year being an option to get a massive payday. By doing that if im not mistake Durant/Lebron max contract will start in the mid 30+ mill per year. Looking at those numbers in context shows 20 mil for a young center is not bad at all. Its kinda like how we all complained that Bosh got the max, one of the highest contracts in the NBA but after this season he will look under paid. Thats the market for you.

Durant is the only free agent next year that wouldn't put up pedestrian numbers on this team. 26yo best shot blocker that the league has seen in a decade, 4th best rebounder in nba(2nd in reb rate), 3rd best shooting pct, 2nd highest PER in the east behind only LBJ, every combined efficency rating known to man has him as the number 1 player on the team. Can not believe the opinion of not paying Hassan his market value is even being discussed.

Can't wait for Hassan to get that big guaranteed money. That way he'll stop holding back and be free to yell "throw me the damn ball" without facing repercussions for not being ok with being blackballed on offense. Heck, even perhaps he'll finally get a play or two called for him. Having serious doubts about a Bosh led team making it out of the first round. Hassan still has that fire and ambition that you need from your alpha to go deep. Not saying Bosh and Wade don't care at all anymore, but they look as if they're going to the buffet with a full stomach at this point.
