1.He got measured at least twice before the combine and UK measured him having a wingspan of 6-4.5 while his wingspan was measured to be 6-3.75 at a basketball minicamp in October of 2017.

2.His standing reach is 8-4.5 while Miye Oni's standing reach is also 8-4.5 and Oni's height is listed as being 6-5.75(with shoes) with a wingspan of 6-10.75.

3.That kind of height and wingspan difference is very rare.

My guess, Herro's wingspan is around 6-4.5.

I find it hard to believe his measurements at the combine to be less accurate than his measurements at UK. That's what the combine is for, they are measuring for every team in the NBA to have as a reference and would want to be as accurate as possible. Doing it at UK they probably were just lazy and measured it wrong.

6-4.5 is much better than 6-3.25. Luke Kennard's a solid defender and he's slight longer than his wingspan.

Okpala is listed as being over 2 inches taller with shoes on...Also, we have 2 sources that say that Herro's measurements were wrong.

Kennard's defense is better than Bookers'...Why do you want Herro to be a bust so badly?

Did bust ever come out my mouth. You are just making bad arguments. Debating if his arms are 6'3" vs 6'4" is silly. Debating if his defense will be Eddie House or Kennard or Booker or Ellington is silly.

Damm people give these kids a chance, they haven’t even play a single NBA minute yet. When and if this Hero kid starts shooting lights out , we ain’t going to care about his wingspan or what grocerie store he goes to

If he does great. I point out a guys weakness because I either want him to work on it or try to compensate for his weakness in other areas. His length cant be fixed it permanent. He is not gonna come out with arm extensions or grow some nails.

How am I making a bad argument? If it came out that Bam's wingspan is actually 7-4 instead of 7-3, you'd be elated. A lot of you guys disliked the fact that Herro had a 6-3 wingspan, but now that it's more likely to be 6-4 you don't care? Also, are you really saying that you don't care if Herro's one of the worst defenders in the league or above average for a SG ?

I do not care where he ranks out of the bad defenders in the league. Be fundementally sound at least and let the coaches try to hide him like they did with Ellington and Dragic.

I doubt 1/2 inch on each side will matter too much. He'll be what he'll be. Word is he plays hard on that end. You've got guys with 7 foot wingspans who don't give a ****. The effort is what counts.

I'm okay with Haslem playing till he's 40. Not so fond about some of our other 30 year olds....

Would love for Dragic, Hassan, and James Johnson to be playing elsewhere next season. I've said it for the past 4 years, we should not inhibit our youngsters, and should purge our roster of guys who will take their minutes. Having Dragic come in and win games, or having the other two take minutes away from our future is not the way to go. Dion too man.

We'd win 30 games, and have a high draft pick. We'd draft Theo Maledon and Neemias Queta. We'd sign Giannis and Gobert. We'd win games.

Return to Miami Heat
