Regardless what anyone says, signing Herro was a dead giveaway of where the talks were headed. Not surprisingly, a wave of news hits the next day regarding trade talks and Houston is again mentioned.

Herro was probably on the table, but when Presti wouldn't budge, it was time to move on.

I don't want Paul at all. Years ago yes, but not anymore.

I'm not saying because I want Paul necessarily but Miami would get their picks back to rearm with assets for a Beal deal. Paul's contract is over in 2022 which is one year sooner than Westbrook's.

If this was Beal we would have done the trade and traded our young guys no question. It's the contract and age I think our FO didn't like. Plus OKC already had TWO of our picks... we had nothing new to offer them

It wasn't meant to be ya'll. 2021 is the new what if scenarios...

I wonder if the Miami talk was just to increase the bidding or something, cause if Westbrook wanted to go to Houston all along, what was the point? The media loves to play games.
