Damn, 3 starters who can’t play defense and 2 of those 3 are bad offensive players too. Then a guy who shouldn’t be in the league backing us up at PG. Should be fun, Jimmy Herro and Bam should all Jack 20 shots a night minimum

Are we sure he wasn't 6 for 26 from 3pt range in the preseason.

Yeah, STOP! Miami has PG covered!

No need for a PG with the potential to do something like....

And I actually don't hate the idea of Miami starting Lowry, don't love it but don't hate it.

Yeah, that ship is not landing on this bay.....There's zero chance this organization is gonna go that route. The Jimmy Window is 1/4 of the way open and it will close in the next 2 years with what they have as best as available. No reason to waste any additional assets, for a slight improvement.

One of many things I hate about Twitter is influencer taking snips or quotes of another person giving a take as if its a report. I am seeing people taking Stephen A saying Miami doesn't want Harden because they do not trust him as an actual report. Screaming A was just filling up air to waste more time on his rant.

Miami would trade for Harden if it was actually an affordable option

I’d like to see us take the Boston route of having Jimmy Bam Herro take 18 shots a night (Brown and Tatum take over 20) but realistically Jimmy is just gonna be chillin. Jimmy can take 15 and give his extra to Bam and Herro to get them to 20. Everyone else get in where they fit in

Don't play fast enough pace for all 3 to take 18. 15 to 16 is a plausible goal.

Always part of our problem. We don't run out for the easy shots. No reason to be consistently taking shots with under 5 secs left

Heat do not play well at a high pace. They just don't have players that flourish in transition. Dipo, Nunn and Dragic was one of the few players that flourish in transition. If Love or Jovic can rebound and ignite transition opportunities it will help.

We’re working to increase pace this season, that’s why you’re seeing Bam get the rebound and just go more than normal

Thats not gonna increase pace. A player who has to rebound and then dribble 94 feet is not a good way to increase pace. Leaking and lead passing is the way to increase pace. I like the option for Bam to rebound and dribble because it gives a unique look for teams to defend. But to increase pace you want your rebounder to quickly throw passes up court.

Big 3 era was known for rebounding and dribbling 90 feet and the team pace was extremely lower at 91 per game.

The highest pace the Heat has ever played since 1992 was at 98.3 and that was the bubble year. Since then they its been about at 96. Usually the team has way to many turnovers when they go above 97.

If Jovic, Jaquez and Love can contribute to rebounding so Bam can receive some lead passes and get into transition that could increase the pace. But do not see it surpassing the bubble year with excellent offense.

I wouldn't be surprised the team starts off at a high pace the first month because they usually do but will likely average 19 turnovers a game

That’s why it increases pace lol, we have our center snagging a rebounding and taking off AND looking to throw ahead. That is faster than him grabbing the board and stopping looking around for a guard to give it to. Our guards know he’s going to bring it up and now they can leak out more often and either get open looks or free a lane for Bam to attack

health is a concern even moreso with the older players.

Return to Miami Heat
