The Vent Line

I left my stove on last night, woke up at 6:15a and smelled something burning - thank god the pot was just white on the bottom. I was lucky , but realized, i spend too much time watching sports and need to pay attention more.
I decided to post my vents today
1st let me say that I am currently listening to Miami sports radio I switch back and forth each morning between 790 the ticket and wqam. It’s 9:45am now. Most of the callers and announcers are talking about how they feel Lebron should not have “backtracked on his twitter statement” They also have said, “the reason this heat took off, was the main reason is because of Dwayne Wade”
Last but not least, they basically say that Lebron needs to just shut up already (wonder where I heard that from). You may not like the messenger(s), but don’t disregard the message.
Last nights game against the clippers was a perfect example of some of the things that will be mentioned.
Anyway, here are my vents(in no particular order).
1. This organization has a “one voice” mentally, there is nothing wrong with that, until you stop listening to other opinions about what needs ot be done.
2. I do not believe we can win a championship with Eric Spoelstra, I just do not think he has to right tools to get us a win in a difficult situations (last nights game is an example) - We lost by 6 points, james jones had 3 shot attempts, mike miller had 0 shot attempts - these are our shooters.
3. We put too much emphasis on “team defense” while we are/were considered to have one of the best defenses in the NBA, last night’s game proved that the team concept left too many wide open shots for the clippers. we seam to always be running out to the perimeter to contest a shot.
4. We don’t allow other players to get involved in the offense. Last nights game saw players I’ve never heard of get more shot attempts than players that are better known on this team.
5. Our scoring is not balanced enough - The clippers and most other teams have more balanced scoring.
6. Our shooters do not have enough shot attempts, then we get pissed when they don’t make the few attempts we give them. last night james jones had 3 shot attempts, Mike miller had 0, Lebron had 27.
7. On change of possessions after an opponent scores, we take too much time deciding who will inbound the ball. the clippers last night had Blake Griffin bring the ball up. we don’t take advantage of opportunities. We rely on status quo (player a must always take the ball out, etc.)
8. We allow our opponents to set up their offense, only putting full court press on defense on a limited basis and use.
9. We don’t play to the flow of the game. What was the purpose of Wade and Bosh coming out of the game when we got the lead form 12 down to 3?
10. We pass up too many open shots, we pass too much. i understand you swing the ball to get a batter opportunity, it seams we are just swinging the ball just to make sure the play is ran correctly.
I have had enough, I will drastically cut down or stop my complaining in the individual threads, this is not fun anymore.
Let me leave on this note.
I remember when Lebron, Wade and Bosh got drafted. Of course we would have picked Lebron or Melo, rumors were we wanted Bosh(got to have that low post presence to run our preexisting plays) - but I remember all the hype Lebron has gotten in his career and how Wade had to earn his respect. He was the first one to get the Championship while Lebron was the face of the NBA.
Now, they are on the same team, and people are still quoting Lebron first, shoving the mikes in his face like he is THE MIAMI heat. I hear it all morning with the “lebron watch/moment” All the while Wade just goes out there and does his job.
Again, i am glad to have him on this team, but I would ride or die(not exactly) by Dwayne Wade, he impacts the game more, has a more versatile game and I feel safe when he’s in the game. Sometimes I think I see a look in wades like, “can you help me out a little bit, can you not settle for jumpers all he time”
I swear if Lebrons jumper is off, he is not as effective, he is just not that creative of an offensive player and I think the reliance on him so much on offense, is fools’ gold at this time.
mods, do what you want with this thread, if others want to vent, this may be a good place. If not, just delete.
Have a great day fellas, go heat
