Congrats to the Heat for making it to the Finals

Post#1 » by philly035 » Fri May 27, 2011 4:41 am

Bulls fan here. Just wanted to congratulate the Heat for making it to the finals. I know I'm not recognized around here since i am new, but it has been a fun (and sadly short) series. I still think we had a chance to win it -- hopefully next year. Derrick Rose is still young and has much to take in and learn from this series... it was a good experience.

Few things I picked up from this series:

The heat play just as good defense as the bulls.
LeBron is LeBron - elite defense and can be unstoppable on offense.
Wade is clutch
Chris Bosh is still rupaul. I remembered why I couldn't stand him. I'll admit he played well this series. but like Durant said - hes a fake tough guy. Being heat fans you probably don't feel the same way as he most likely puts you over to hump to win it all (though I don't know about that salary).

Good luck against the Mavericks.

Oh yeah, apologizes for the ugly foul on James from Boozer. Nobody likes dirty fouls. No true bulls fan likes to see that... especially since we had to watch Jeff Foster pull that crap on Rose and Deng.

We don't need Bosh to be a "tough guy", we just need him to bust his ass, not settle, and step up when it matters most. He's done all of the above fairly consistently.

As for the Boozer flagrant, I feel for you guys, it seems like he might have cost you TWO games with that kind of stupidity. Even when he's actually playing well, doing something that ignites the opponent like that probably negates all the good you've been doing.

I don't think they were trying to hurt each other. I noticed the series was a bit more friendly than the Boston series (example when Wade got tied up by boggans in that fast break, he held him so he wouldn't fall then patted his chest).

As for Bosh (<3) he can be whatever he wants to be. The guy is a class act and was the key to winning this series.

Bosh came through amazingly this series. We would not have won any of those games without him. I lost count of how many big shots he made, and at several points he was the best player on the court. He plays hard every night, and does whatever we need him to do to win. The chemistry and role understanding is finally there for this team. The Big 3 have looked very good in the playoffs, and have played extremely well together, which has been the key to their success.

Bosh really is an interesting player because it is difficult to assess his greatness. He was originally touted on the same level as Wade and LeBron, which in hindsight was ridiculous. But he is more than a role player, and more skilled than fringe all-stars like Luol Deng & Joakim Noah. CB has become increasingly reliable, and he's great to have when Wade is having an off-night. He's probably a top 15 player, which makes him every bit worth his contract.
