Does LeBron need haters?

Really that's my question. The Heat fans have done nothing but trash LBJ all the time. Even last night. I mean, Wade drives 2 times in a row, can't score one, gets blocked and so on. LBJ makes a great defensive play preventing Marion to score easy 2. Then Wade misses again. Dallas scores. It's all on LeBron!
I mean, the guy hasn't played really well, but Wade has not made the shots when they count the most too (game 2 was the only one when LBJ really did shoot a lot without scoring in the last quarter, but Wade did also shoot bad shots). Plus, LBJ is a streak shooter. What kind of a streak can he have when he shoots one time in 20 plays? Shouldn't the shots also be shared a little more with him?
Btw yesterday there was a foul when LBJ hit a potential 3 point play that was an offensive. But yeah, Heat fans AKA LBJ also haters, didn't even defend him.
Tough one for the King, he came to Miami, he took the team to the finals, and there's just critics and never credit. Not even loved in his team.

I think the compelling argument, which is pretty much subjective, is that the majority of Miami fans weren't fans until the big trade happened. I don't want to bash the Miami fans as a collective, but the die hard fans which are probably the ones on realgm are select and few. Bandwagon fans are real, and its hard for fans of a smaller franchise city to appreciate what they have, because they're just not used to seeing such high quality talent on one team.
...yes I know you guys won one in 06, but Miami basketball fans seem very casual.

Ha. Only Lebron James can get these kind of topics after the crap he pulled in the last three games. Refresh my memory, but did anyone make these kind of topics for Wade when he was playing like **** during the bulls series and everyone here called him out on it? How about Bosh?
I noticed something...I really didn't want to bring it up..but, **** it. Heat fans, some of them anyway, are generally scared to call Lebron out, in some misguided fear that somehow it'll reach him and piss him off. I was listening to the Dan Lebatard show the other day and Dan brings up a comment from Wade after Game 3. I believe Wade said something about having to lead his team or whatever. Anyway, Dan goes off on this rant about how he's scared that Lebron didn't like hearing that from Wade. That somehow it would eat away at Lebron and possibly cause problems later on. I couldn't believe my ears....does he really believe Lebron is so petty, so weak minded that he would actually get upset over Wade saying "my team". That's when it hit me, it was like a light flickering on in my head. Like finally figuring out a hard puzzle. Dan, like a lot of heat fans, have this fear in the back of their head that there's still a chance this whole thing will blow up. That to piss Lebron off in any way, would possibly result in him leaving or throwing a fit or whatever. Its crazy, I know but I think its true.
I'll probably get a lot of crap for writing this but...whatever.

When you call yourself a king and get 8 points in a Finals game, you are asking to get blasted by everyone including your fans, family and friends lol.

About the threads that LBJ can get after 3 bad games (game 2 and yesterday the way I see it not so bad but average games) have you looked the other way? How many times you heard a Heat fan tell **** you Wade when he was playing like crap against the Bulls? None.
I get people being frustrated at LeBron (I'm the most frustrated, after all I root for my Utah Jazz and for LeBron James' team for 8 years now) but there's a limit to what you write to a player on team, specially a guy that carried things in the most difficult times of the season. I just hope he get A LOT more shots next game, and that he can get it going. Time to show up, time to let everyone know he has what it takes to be a champion.

I agree. LeBron has obviously not played as well as he can but Heat fans magnify every mistake he makes and completely downplay any mistake Wade makes. Had Wade been the one called for that charge instead of the and 1, their would have been much much more outrage.
LeBron missed those 2 shots in the 4th quarter and he is killed for it

Dwayne Wade has won a freaking championship for this franchise. He did what few players have ever done, he took a team down 0-2 in the NBA Finals and won the series, with a broken down Jason Williams and Antoine Walker as 3rd and 4th options. LeBron James has not showed up in the NBA Finals. Dwayne Wade has and I can put their respective offensive and defensive performances side by side and it's embarrassing for LeBron James. If you don't see the difference in how they approach these games you're not opening your eyes.
LeBron scored 8-points. 8 **** points in an NBA Finals game! Why do people apologize for this and say he's being treated unfairly? He's the self-proclaimed King, he has Chosen 1 tatted on his back. He has 15-points in the fourth quarter for the entire series! The greatest talent the NBA has ever known is averaging 3-points in the quarter that matters most on the biggest stage he's every stood on. He tweets before game 5 that it's the most important game of his life, he scores 17 points and his team loses after he scores 8-points in game 4, the only single-digit scoring performance in his playoff career. And don't bring up that crap about rhythm shooting, every NBA player is a rhythm shooter, LeBron makes the conscious decision to jack up ill-advised 3s or jumpers when he should be attacking the rim. LeBron's offensive game isn't why Jason Terry blows by him. He can turn the NBA MVP into a non-entity, but he can't contain Jason Terry?

There's no reason to trash him that way.
He's just a man, and he's trying to do his job.
If wasn't him, Heat wouldn't beat the Bulls. With a good SF in his place, I could say someone like Gay, Artest, Ariza, Granger, etc, Heat would simply see a 4-0 Bulls victory.
If he's having problems handling pressure, why does he deserve to hear insults? He's a good player and we need him to win. It's pretty lame to trash him that hard simply because he's not playing what you expect.

The thing is, nobody questions his outstanding talent as a player. It's because of his talent that we all are so shocked about his performances so far. The difference between LeBron's finals and D-Wade's Chicago performance is that, despite Wade's struggles, he was still there when we needed him. He didn't let bums blow by him defensively, he even defended Rose well.
I'm not even asking LeBron to have a 40-point game or whatsoever. I just want to see him want it. The guy is such a unique freak of nature, such a huge talent, such an outstanding athlete and yet, he's been a ghost in 4th quarters in these finals. It's not just about scoring but moreso than anything about letting far lesser talented players take advantage of him.
I really don't care about any personal legacies or whatsoever, but knowing that a halfway normal LeBron James could've already brought us a championship kills me. Especially because I just don't understand how he can struggle so badly against a Dallas team that is not better than the Bulls or Celtics.

Great post, also like DWno3 said, Wade did play terrible in the Chicago series for 3 quarters but he showed up big in each of the Heat's wins at the end of the 4th quarters, thats the difference between the situations. Wade has dominated the mismatches hes had against the Mavs but LeBron hasn't came through in the clutch like Wade did in the Chicago series.
I think thats the main difference.

I hate player fans.
Wade got absolutely trashed CONSTANTLY during that ECF. Look through those game threads, Heat fans were getting on him because he deserved to be but they also took it way too far and many seemed to lose faith. Now you're making it seem like LeBron's unfairly getting blame from Heat fans? Common. Bosh has gotten it this season, Wade has gotten it, LeBron's not performing when it matters and now he's getting some too.

Wade won a ring for you guys. Lebron hasn't done **** in his entire career and he's known for not coming through when it matters most. That's the difference. If Wade didn't win a ring for you guys he would be looked at differently.

I don't get the trashing of a great player for one bad series.
It happens. Its not like Lebron is out there figuring out ways to play worse (which wasn't even that bad last game, he did have a triple double). He wants to play well a lot more than any of us wants him to play well.
Just like no one cares that Wade had a bad series against Chicago, I hope that once we win no one will care how we did it.

If the Mavs had hit their series average on 3's and we'd have won; Lebron's triple double would have been lauded as excellence.
Go figure.
