This is it, fellas. After all the stuff we've been through for over a year now, it all comes down to this. This is mission 1 out of 2 at the time being. Win or go home. Do or die. Can the Heat survive to fight for another day and force a game 7? I was the one who made a thread after we suffered that horrible choke loss against Philly. We went on to win our next 3 home games.

This time though, we only need 2 obviously. Our backs are no doubt against the wall. No more room for errors this time. Can we pull it off just like the Lakers last year? Can we prove the haters wrong yet again? Stay tuned...................

- PLAY WITH A SENSE OF URGENCY. DON'T QUIT, CHOKE, OR PANIC. WE'RE THE BETTER TEAM, WE NEED TO SHOW IT AND PROVE IT!

"There's no such thing as coulda, shoulda, or woulda. If you shoulda and coulda, you woulda done it." "There's always the motivation of wanting to win. Everybody has that. But a champion needs, in his attitude, a motivation above and beyond winning." "You have no choices about how you lose, but you do have a choice about how you come back and prepare to win again." "You prove your worth with your actions, not with your mouth."“From nobody to upstart. From upstart to contender. From contender to winner. From winner to champion. Don't lost confidence! After all we've been through this season, this is where we're going to find out what this team is made of. Are we going to crumble and let the Mavs celebrate on OUR home court? I don't see D-Wade letting that happen. An extra off day should give the staff more time to make adjustments (NO BIBBY) and see what we can do better.
WE GOT THIS!

They put themselves in this situation, blowing leads and not hitting the big shots.
It's REALLY now or never
Heat play really well at home. They just blew that one lead because they got too damn comfortable.
I hope that dead horse picture is fake...

DWYANE WADE will not go out like this I got full faith and trust in him and if it wasn't for him being in the locker room in Game 5 we would be going home and playing for the title in Game 6 but whatever let's get it boyz in the words of Spo we live for moments like this so show us fans what you are made of.

I feel very confident and I don't really know why. There is no way I can see us losing three straight games to anyone and certainly not on our home floor. If we win game 6 which I believe we will, then we have one game on our home floor for a championship, it doesn't get better than that.

Blubber Nugget through to the championship. Great OP.
Added Stevenson:
"I take it as they're not liked for what happened this summer with getting everybody the way they did it and obviously the way they play and showboat, all them things. I just think we're -- I don't want to say clean-cut -- but we're the guys that play the right way, pass the ball and do things. We just got to worry about ourselves. We got a great team and a great group of guys. We just got to go out on the last home game and try to bring this home.''
Make these schmucks (and all the haters at home and away) pay.
Don't let go of the rope.
Heat 2011 NBA Champions.

Heat in 7. Wade and James are great players. Its time for them to summon that greatness with their backs against the wall.
The story here is the Mavericks could barely beat the Heat in Dallas shooting the lights out from 3 and with Wade not at 100%. The game before the Mavericks barely beat the Heat in Dallas with Lebron only scoring 8 points.
The Mavericks win in game 2 in Miami was a miracle that can't be easily repeated.
The Heat will win game 6 making this a one game series. And in game 7 James, Wade, and Bosh will lay it all out there and beat the Mavericks. The Mavericks can't rely on miracle come backs, obscene 3 point shooting and James underperforming forever.

If there was ever a time to prove that LBJ has something left for these Finals this is it. I somehow have a little more faith in him now than I did last game. It's weird, but I hope to god the refs finally ref in our favor on Sunday.

You know what made me sick, yesterday on the pregame coverage they were talking about Lebron struggling all series and Stuart Scott added at the end "you didn't think the spotlight would be this bright, did you?". I was thinking, man I hope Lebron carries this team and wins Finals MVP, but after the result Lebron has shown he wants no part of this series.
I don't know what's wrong with him because I'm pretty sure he's healthy. There are no excuses, we haven't overplayed him because he's not even putting much of an effort out there offensively and defensively. He's passive. I'm even afraid after much embarrassment he's going to want out of the team after this lol... But at least we have the only possible trade chip in the league for Dwight if that were the case.

Yeh, you can see that the whole Dallas team is concentrating on containing LeBron. Obviously, the Heat have to get more people involved.
Regardless, need to attack the rim more. I don't want to see Lebron taking those 3's anymore.

Please be loud.
As a neutral fan, games are far more exciting when the crowd is into it. (see Dallas)
Step it up for the final games please.

Wow talking about trading LeBron??!! Oh my oh my... where is this going to go. Maybe it would be for the best, since I read here in this forum so many Heat fans saying **** you LeBron.

Lebron James is a great player no doubt.
WIthout him we are not even in the Finals period, BUT for whatever reason the Lebron James of the Boston and Chicago IS GONE.
HES NOT HERE, Oh well it definitely sucks BUT Wade so far has dominated the series so we need to just go with him.
I believe this is our best chance to win since right now Wade is our best player, it makes sense to me to run with that.
At this point its just to risky to give Lebron a shot at closing the games.
This reminds of the season when we lost 5 in a row and in the Lakers game we started giving the ball to Dwyane in the fourth. When Lebron went into Beast Mode in the Boston and Chicago series we went away from that and thats understandable. Lebron in the Boston and Chicago series was closing great so why go away from that around that time right?
The problem is now all sudden in the FInals Lebron is doing poorly and Wade is dominating so we must switch it up again like we did after that 5 losing streak.

I am extremely confident in our chances this game. I am not going to say that the league or refs actively fix games, but I think the combination of us coming back home, our guys hopefully attacking the rim, and the huge amount of money that will be generated for the league in a Game 7, means that we will be spending a lot of time at the FT line. As a comparison, in Game 6 last year, with the Lakers trailing 2-3 and at home, the Celtics only shot 10 FT's for the game, while the Lakers shot 19. Frankly, our ability to get to the line is what seperated us from most teams during the year, and for whatever reason, we are not getting those calls so far in the Finals.
If Spo stubbornly refuses to bench Bibby, I at least hope that he starts with Wade covering Barea and/or has a really short leash with Mike. He can't keep him out there for the first 8 minutes of each half if he is giving us nothing on offense and being a huge liability defensively. Chalmers and Miller have shown that they can knock down shots, and they should be getting all or most of Bibby's minutes.

We scored a sick 116 points per 100 possessions, and outside of Chalmers, it was not because anyone was hitting crazy shots, or lots of long-distance J's, or whatever. We had 48 points from inside 10 feet, and another 21 on FTs (mostly generated by action in the lane). That's probably 60+ from inside 10 feet.
The Mavs had 34 and 21, respectively. So even though we were outscored by 9 overall, we outscored them by 14 on the interior.
That's why the loss is hard to swallow. We got better shots. An open layup is a better shot than open 3, and certainly a better shot than a contested 3. If both teams replayed the game exactly in game 6 and got the same exact shots in the same exact places with the same exact coverage, Miami wins IMO. Consider, even if they shoot "only" 53% from 3, they're down 2 points when they get possession at the end of the game.
So hard to swallow.
Still, we crushed their D, and did so without going crazy from distance (3-13 from 16-23 feet, 8-20 from 3). If we score like that again, we win.
