Listen here, jackals who are turning on the players

Post#1 » by truthiness » Mon Jun 13, 2011 3:47 am

Would you PLEASE stop hating on the players ?

Lebron James carried the Heat through 2 series (in which Wade played poorly). No Lebron, there might be no finals.

Yeah, he wasn't that great in the finals, but the whole Mavs D was geared towards stopping him. That's why Wade got more freedom. Celtics and Bulls concentrated on stopping Wade.

Wade carried the team at times. He played poorly in a couple of series, but still came up big late in games. He played well against the Mavs, yet still made stupid mistakes - just like everybody else.

Bosh played pretty well, despite being misused and, sometimes, a forgotten man. What happened with him getting the ball down low ? He asked for it once, got it and delivered as promised, than Spoelstra went away from it.

Chalmers is what you see. He makes great plays, and he makes mistakes. He's a role player. Take the good with the bad. If you think you're finding better replacements out there, you were probably amongst those who thought Mike Bibby would be a savior.

Reality is harsh: you can't build a team only with all-stars. This is NOT NBA 2k11.
So stop whining about role players making mistakes from time to time. That's inevitable.

Mike Miller had a really unlucky season: a ton of injuries, then his daughter having problems. Stop crying for him to be traded. He never even got a chance to contribute this season.

Joel ? Not his fault Spoelstra uses him too much. He's trying, but just like Chalmers, he got his limitations. He's a role player. He needs a coach that knows how to use him in a role.

James Jones ? Congrats for the 3p shooting title, kid. Now go sit on the bench and watch us try to beat a zone with P&R and ISO's. I think that might be an actual quote from Spoelstra.

House is another role player with well known strengths and limitations. Sparkplug for the offense and stretching the defense. That's all he does. Again, misused badly or just forgotten when he might have been useful - against that effing zone.

The rest ?
F'em.
Never wanted Dampier (bad karma, especially against the Mavs).
I like Big Z, but he's done.
Juwon Howard was a waste of money. So was Magloire. Wasn't even used when the Heat could use a hard foul on some loud mouth *cough*Garnett*cough*.

Please use your brains and see the uniting theme across this post: players being misused. These same players need to be given a chance with a REAL coach.

I hear ya and I am proud of the team, the only one that bothers me is Bosh. I just don't like the way he plays, he's too soft. We need to see how the off season unfolds but I would be willing to field offers for Bosh.

Maybe it would help putting a starting C next to him to help him. He was forced to play C a lot this season.
Stop being so disrespectful.

lmao I laughed when you said it's not Joel's fault that Spo plays him too much.

That's so damn true because he is limited.

He helps too much, doesn't rebound well, stone hands...

He can help the team more if he gets an offensive game.

Do you know how many times I felt like punching the TV when he misses an easy bunny or lay up and he gets the offensive rebound 4 times LMAO

No, no, no, NO !!!!

You got me wrong. Dalembert is not the savior. He can be useful, but most important is getting a REAL coach.

Lol I was being a little sarcastic, but he'd be a welcome addition to the roster. As well as an offensive coordinator, a cast of perimeter shooters/defenders, Sloan etc...

I'll admit that I am not a fan of Lebron's behavior and think he lacks the killer instinct - he still is an incredibly gifted player

I just feel sorry for Bosh - he wasn't used right

Wade let it get to his head, but I'm not worried about him

Haslem played his heart out; hopefully, the heat will have him all season next year

the rest are just filler/interchangeable

You know that's a good point. Having a 7 foot player on the floor that could rebound and finish would really change things. I mean a great deal of our problems really revolve around the fact that we are always playing 4 on 5 offensively.
