I'm just curious how Miami fans feel about this. Not trying to flame anything, I just want to know how the basketball fans in Miami take this:

"All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue... to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point."

Hating on the Heat,or disliking Lebron doesn't pay the bills.It's kind of pathetic that people put so much energy and effort into hating on a sports franchise.When it all boils down,it just sports--it's just entertainment.

Well all I can say is that it’s pretty much an insult to all basketball fans who spend their money and recreational time supporting the NBA. He’s degrading all fans by pretty much saying “I’m rich bithes” to the same people who made his life that way.

Part of being a “global icon” (his words), or just being a public figure in general, is being under a constant microscope. That’s always been the deal. Especially in this social media infused society that we live in, it’s impossible to think that you can parade around on such a public scale and not expect the public the either praise or criticize you. That doesn’t mean that being an NBA player means the public will always talk about you though. Tim Duncan, Dirk, and a host of others aren’t chastised after losses like LeBron does for a reason.

i mean fans werent on tv and fans werent publishing the crap hes talking about...

All fans do this, every fan roots against certain team(s). Look around realgm during the season, you see Knick fans rooting against Bos, Mia, Chi etc.. Bos fans rooting against Lakers.. Heat fans rooting against Chi, Bos...
You get the idea.

It's part of being a fan and what makes rivalries in sports. Happens every year in the finals because there's usually a favorite that everyone is rooting against...

I've never liked LeBron, but that quote pretty much confirms that he's content with who he is as a player and feels like he has nothing to prove.

Not really. I wouldn't want to always be under a public microscope and deal with being public enemy #1 everyday of my life. Sounds like a curse. I'll take 1/3 of the money, but that's about it
