Lebron James most important off season
LeBron has a lot to prove next season. The pressure next year will be the greatest its ever been. He left the Cavs to take the easy way out amd he didnt take the time to get better and he choked and the heat lost. THERE IS NO EASY WAY OUT!
Lebron needs to hire the best shooting coach in the world and shoot over 2 thousand shots a day and needs to come back quicker and he needs to come back with much better ball handling skills. He also needs to play better defense on the ball and keep his man in front of him.
Its truly a shame watching the most talented player in basketball let his talents go to waste.
Sometimes you wonder how commited he is to the game of basketball like Kobe bryant.
Does anyone know if Lebron and Wade are working out during the offseason every day?

James needs to shed a few pounds. He moves like a tank with his weight. I'd like to see him get some of that speed back like it was in Cleveland.
A reliable post game would be cool too.

Nah they just chill, party and eat tons of bad food. Look at the skinny rookie Dwyane Wade and how fat he is now.
Also yeah, LeBron totally sucks, he hasn't improved at all from his rookie year. He couldn't even keep Keith Bogans in front of him if he wanted to, can't knock down a jump shot to save his life and is just the biggest choker the earth has ever seen.
He's also the first superstar to be enough of a p**** to not accept a challenge of winning a title by himself the way other greats a la Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson did and needed the help from his all-star friends and even then couldn't get it done.
Man, this LeBron guy is so terrible, I'm glad we didn't offer him a max contract.

Wade does need to work on his conditioning though, there's no denying that.

Re: Lebron James most important off season
Wade on his Twitter has been saying he is like doing two hour work outs a day in the pool, LeBron idk.
And yeah, LeBron should shed to 250 or so from 275. Bosh should be the opposite IMO and not go up to 275, but like 260 or so.
They all need a post game, shooting coach, and Sports Psychologists.

They need to continue to work on their game, there's no question about that. Wade needs to improve his conditioning and make sure his jumper is consistent and LeBron needs to lose a little weight and work on his post-game and also his off-ball movement. I was just tired of reading another LeBron-bash-festival-thread.

Bosh said he wanted to bulk up more like he did Toronto. But him bulking up made him more injury prone so I'm not necessarily sure we want that.

Re: Lebron James most important off season
Thing is unlike Toronto, Bosh is not carrying the 'heavy load'. a healthy Haslem will reduce his playtime compared to last season, and if we sign an FA center, it will make Haslem play at PF more than Center, so Bosh's Play Time, either way, may be reduced next season. So at this rate, a bulkier Bosh may be a safe option.

Bosh actually said that?

I was upset that he lost weight when he first came here, I thought he was going to continue to build muscle because 09 was his best season, he was still quick and didn't get thrown around nearly as much. The big 3 were relatively healthy this year, I think that will continue to happen because none of them have to anchor the offense and defense (in Wade and LeBron's case) when they were solo.
No reason why Bosh shouldn't be this aggressive:

Pat mentioned it in that press conference a few days ago.
I wish he'd be more aggressive like that. He kind of lost some of it this year. Maybe it's the hair. He was an 18/8 this year compared to a 24/10 last year. I don't expect him to get his ppg back up to 24 but I'd like to see an 18/10 or a 20/10 season.

Re: Lebron James most important off season
lol I really believed he lost some toughness when being aggressive when he cut his hair
this was him going up against Joel... another reason why Joel shouldn't be on guys who are 3-4 inches taller than him (when will they learn..)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSjut0rZ7gs
He was wondering where the foul was and he seemed to have swag
But this year I was disappointed with the rebounding from Bosh. No Center who can rebound and he doesn't average 10. I think it had to do with him being at the perimeter too much. Also in Game 6 when Dallas was getting so much offensive rebounds, that some of Bosh's fault... but yeah bulk up and get those rebs.
Boozer may be soft as well but he is a much better rebounder and I think it has to do with his big size.
But yeah I'd like to see more conditioning by Wade and LBJ needs to lose some pounds, and like Pat Riley said, get a go-to move. That might be having a good post-game.
lol how cool would it be if Bosh gets a 3 point game going. That'd be funny.

Re: Lebron James most important off season
I know its been said ad nauseum but Lebron should work on his post game. When his jumper is not falling and the defense loads up on him he has nothing. He also needs to work off the ball. Lebron needs to work more on the nuances of the game. I don't think there is anything physical that needs tweaking with Lebron, its mosly mental and skill based.
Wade bulked up over the last 2 years, but I would like to see him the way he looked in 08-09, Im not sure how much he weighed back then, but Im guessing around 220. He looks about 225-230 now. Wade's post game is fine, but I would like to see him shoot more jumpers (consistently) to set up his drive.

He is not going to improve much in fundamentals. You get that stuff as a middle schooler. He is what he is. He is a great player who lacks basic stuff in his game. While a Kobe learned everything over seas in Italty and from his father and coaches growing up.
Its not Lebron's fault all the way. He is a victim of AAU basketball. He was the best high schooler since Kareem, and no one put him in a gym all day and said we are working on everything.

Bron doesn't need to work on that much. What we need is an offensive scheme that utilizes our guys strengths more. Wade's slashing, Bron's excellent court vision and passing, and Bosh's rangey game.
It might sound weird, but instead of running the offense through our PF at the elbow (usually they catch and hold while the screens are set), why not run it through Bron at the elbow? I mean, same thing as we do with Haslem and Bosh, but now we have Bron's great court vision to find the open man. Plus he has a good midrange jumper. Letting him pound the rock beyond the arc seems pointless. We take over 10 seconds to get into our offense. That's not leaving enough time for good, consistent execution. PEACE.

Count me in as a fan who wants to see LeBron lose some weight before next season. There's gotta be a threshold of diminishing returns when it comes to muscle mass for a perimeter player, and LeBron might already be there. It makes me think of what we saw when David Boston was hulking out while playing the wide receiver position...there's a point when bulk ceases to serve a functional purpose for a job that requires speed, agility, and elusiveness.

While LeBron certainly needs to lose a few pounds, I'd like to see Wade gain some the way he did prior to the 08/09 season. He had so many nagging injuries throughout this year which set him and the team back. Additionally, improved strength will help him even more down low which should help him with his post-up game.
