I don't smoke weed, or do any drug for that matter but, come on it's just weed. It's not as bad as cigarettes or cigars and it's not like he has ever been documented smoking it up in half time (similar to Ron Artest drinking in Chicago). Also I doubt he is the only one to smoke it..

It's not that he smokes weed, he a) smokes far too much of it (watch his interviews and you'll see what I mean) b) unlike most players repeatedly gets caught and c) he just doesn't live up to his potential which is why he's so much more scrutinized for smoking weed. It just adds to his image of being mentally weak and not having the right attitude to become a star player in this league.

Dwadeno3 is right, Beasley cant be trusted to be responsible. Beasley has the talent but can you trust him to be ready to play in the future? This last incident is show that he doesnt give a F. I really disappointed in him, and he is ruin his own career right now. This also shows that he is an addict, not just someone who experiements with drugs. And it justify the Wolves drafting his replacement. smh

Lol, whatever trade value he had is at 0 now.He better hope he can explode next season or I don't see many teams wanting to sign him because of his off court baggage.
I thought he learned from his mistakes but guess not, shame he could have been a perennial all star with his talent.

Still have love for the Beas. And that love is even greater now that he isn't on our team.

If no other teams want him...do we want him again?

I'd take him to back up LeBron lol...
Heat still have no reasonable guy to back up LeBron.

Yes, Riley is smart enough to know hes a talented player despite his off court issues. He's only a pot head but obviously around the league he is plagued as a cancer so no one will want him.
Sign him, bring him off the bench and let him be our Odom.

Problem. We actually need what Odom brings off the bench. Defense, Rebounding, Versatility both offensively and defensively. Beasley doesn't bring any of those things.

I WOULD LOVE MICHAEL BEASLEY back and big deal we in a lock out it's the off season and he having fun before his injury he was averaging 20/10 and while playing SF he hit two game winners for the Wolves and is still an amazing young talent.
A lot of players have off court drama but if they aren't getting high and playing and scoring 5 points a game when you know they can score 20 why blame them. Not like Michael Beasley is doing coke or raping a girl.

There is no problem, who exactly would you rather fill that 6th man role? Miller?
Beasley can play both the SF and PF spot, in his 2nd year I think you could actually say he was an average defender, before his injury this year he was top 5 in rebounding as at the SF spot.We don't need rebounding and defense more than we need someone who can actually create their own shot and hit open 3s consistently. Also,he'd be 23 next year,he'd have plenty of time to work on bring a better defender.
The question was if no one wanted Beasley would the Heat take him, since hes already used to system here and actually liked it here, I don't see why we wouldn't try and sign him.
