I don't understand why most celebs don't manage their own pages and respond to their fans. I also don't get why celebs have pages in the first place if they have no intention of doing that. It really isn't that hard to take 10 minutes out of your day to sign on, read what people have to say, and respond to them.

I'm friends with Elise Wims from Hell's Kitchen and she writes me quite a bit.

I concur. I'm one of thousands of random people that skim their updates sporadically. I demand attention, dammit. PEACE.

Legit? I watch that show every week, and each week I hope she leaves! She is super annoying

She might be super annoying but she's also the most vocal one which is suitable for a master chef.
Elise will be one of the last to go because of her personality. I also think Chef Ramsey likes her which is why the 2 times they tried to get her kicked off (for non-cooking related reasons), he sided with her.

it's not just celebs, most professionals don't even maintain their own pages...and they have pages because they think most people don't really expect them to respond personally.
i maintain my law firm's page (takes way more than 10 minutes and we are a small firm)...between that, trying to blog, and doing real work - my head spins!!!
