Poor Dolphins

Except no one knows how old Pujols is, and the dude could be 36. We're offering him 10 years, which is just stupid. I know they think they can make up the contract in a few years of ticket sales, but I think Prince Fielder would be a better acquisition.

But yeah...we're making a penant run this season. I just hope they don't dismantle the team after we win again. It's hard to call the Marlins fanbase disloyal when many of us were fans from the outset and attended lots of games to support the team. But twice the fanbase swelled with championship runs and twice they killed the momentum by selling off the team. I'm gonna try to get season tix this year, but I want this to be a sustained run at the top. PEACE.

IMO, if we can't get Barkley or RG3 with our first pick, then we should consider grabbing a WR with our first pick, a DB with our second pick and a TE with our third. We need someone to lineup across from Marshall since Clyde Gates isn't working out, and Hartline's true position is the slot. We need a DB since Sean Smith can't catch **** and isn't that good in man coverage. We need a TE since Fasano is nice, but not the athletic new-style of TE.

Dolphins need to become a pass-first team. Matt Moore has won me over with his show of heart each week. The guy is a fighter, and I feel he's playing the best of any QB we've had since Marino. Hopefully it continues. I'd still take RG3 and let him learn behind Moore's contract year. But I feel we can make a run with Moore at QB all the same.

I think Charles Clay had a bad game Sunday, but will be an absolute stud for us in the coming years. He's actually displayed good hands this season, and did a good job pass blocking on Sunday. We use him at FB and TE, but I have yet to see him do any run blocking. If he can improve his run blocking, then we can have him and Bush in the backfield as legit dual threats. Right now, we telegraph run plays by putting in Lex Hilliard. Daniel Thomas should also develop into a more reliable short yardage back for us as well, and out offensive line is finally stepping up.

I think we still clean house with Ireland and Sparano, but there are enough good parts and we'll have a decent-enough pick that whoever comes in here to coach can put together a title run immediately. Sparano can't stay, he's got no excuse to have 8 losses with this team. PEACE.

I don't know if they keep playing this way it is going to be very hard to justify firing sparano. I mean we started off bad but as soon as Moore settled in as the starter this team has played as good as any team in the league outside the top 3 or 4 teams. You look at the Denver and Giants game as the start of this run and this team should absolutely be competing for a playoff spot.

If Moore keeps playing this way I don't think I would use our low first round draft pick on a QB but Instead on some secondary help primarily at safety or possibly on a quality receiving threat. The QB I would like to draft late is Kellen Moore which I think we could get in a late round and would be a steal 2 or 3 years down the line.

Anyway Miami sports are definitely starting to get exciting.

When the Phins won against 3 of the 4 teams they had .500 or better records with Oakland being 7-4, so not all of them were trash.

Until the Marlins ownership changes to someone who is capable of not ruining a team, like Loria did with Montreal, then maybe I'll start following them again. He's the reason they moved Montreal, and he'll be the reason they move the Marlins as well.

I hope to god someone isn't suggesting that Matt Moore is a freaking franchise quarterback. Sheesh. As if we don't have enough evidence by looking at other teams at what happens if we react so fast over a "good" streak. Moore has had good games against bad defenses but when we play the Jets soon, this guy will look like the backup he is.

Some of you fans are ready to give Matt Moore a contract extension similar to Kevin Kolb's, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Matt Cassel. I'm ready to draft a guy to sit behind him! Moore isn't the answer.

Moore is a serviceable backup, but he's no franchise QB. The guy passes up big play opportunities several times a day if you watch the tapes closely. He does not have the vision of a franchise QB, and has rather been very lucky on a QB friendly system.

No worries soon Dolphins will get their own big 3 as well,it's only a matter of time and Miami will have the best teams in sports..

Even though Pujols is clearly the best hitter in the league, and the best hitter baseball has seen since Bonds, i think it'd be smarter for the Marlins to spend that wad of cash on CJ Wilson & Mark Buehrle, that's a dominant 3 man rotation, Josh Johnson, CJ & Buehrle. They have plenty of offense now, provided Hanley doesn't stink up the joint like he did last year.

I've said this all along, Fielder would be a better fit. He's significantly younger and won't need a 10 year commitment. By the end of his 6-7 year contract he'll still be 33-34 while Pujols will be 41-42 years old. He might not be as good of a pure hitter or as good defensively, but he's a safer investment and more likely to live up to his contract given his age/ numbers of years.

I'm fed up with that whining **** Hanley Ramirez. The good thing is he's an asset, and he will get us something good.

I'm not sure if Reyes can play 3B, the contract is signed already so why not ask.

Pujols is out and Fielder is in. We also signed Buerhle today and are going after Wilson. Supposedly Hanley isn't on the trade block...yet.

I'm wondering if this is part of the pitch to convince him to move to third. Prince+Wilson+Buehrle+Bell should convince him that it's worth moving to 3rd for Reyes. PEACE.

Yeah, plus his age is a mystery. He could be 35. I know the Marlins actually want him for this stretch since they think he'll break the homerun record to allow them a sustained attendance draw, but I'd rather go for the younger Prince Fielder. I think everyone thought that. Pujols was just good business. I am gonna laugh when he gets busted for roids and we dodge a bullet. PEACE.

You know I've never really cared for baseball but I might actually tune into a few Marlins games next season to see the new stadium and new look roster.

Pujols not joining but if you guys know who Mike Stanton is, he is like another Miguel Cabrera on the Marlins. He had his break out year last season, he is a beast.

Marlins are in a tough division so... will be hard for them to make the playoffs, but if they get more pitching they could make it.

CJ Wilson turned us down to stay with the Angels. Strange decision. I guess baseball players aren't big on superteams like NBA stars, because we're putting together a crew of killers. Looks like we're going hard after Prince Fielder now (who we should have targeted first anyway). I'm not that familiar with players in the league now, so what other starting pitcher can we go after now? We need another arm. PEACE.
