Bosh for Gasol?

Post#1 » by orangeparka » Fri Dec 9, 2011 1:31 am

Usually if a Bosh trade comes up I never entertain it... But with Houston acquiring Gasol now (makes no sense, he's 31), I think they'd be quite interested in a deal centered around Pau for Bosh.

You gotta admit, despite us loving BAWSH, Gasol may be the type to fit the big 3 better. He doesn't need a ton of touches, and he's a better defender while being able to play C. The obvious downside is that Pau is four years older than Bosh.

The Rockets have a TON of prospect PFs, if I'm not mistaken. I hate to say this, but if I could get one of them (Patterson?) in the swap, I think I'd pull the trigger.

What do you guys think? I think this would be something that Riley is at the very least, looking at?

How about Bosh for Howard and we hijack the Lakers plans? Bosh + Norris Cole for Howard and Arenas has to be better than whatever garbage the Lakers are offering.

Or we could just stick with our current team and beat the silly bastards on the court with what we got. Which I think we can. Bosh is going to have a huge season.

I think this thread needs to be closed ;/. Lets see, he's older, his production is lower and he makes more. He can play C about as well as Bosh can, which is decent in spurts, but not permanently. Plus he flops a lot and I don't think we need anymore floppers on this team.

Why trade a 26 year old top 3-4 PF for a 31 year old one?

This.

A 1-2 year age difference isn't bad, but this is too big for me to consider it. Gasol is still a great player, but we should stick with Bosh.

Uhm.. no stop the trades with Bosh please.

Besides the Lakers are looking to trade him for Dwight.

Look Gasol is good but people complain about Bosh being soft... then you people don't want Gasol on this team lol.

Only Bosh trade I would take is Mike Miller + Bosh for Kobe lol and that would not even work unless the Heat go over the cap

you dont trade Bosh for Gasol..... the reason Bosh was so saught after by the Heat is because of his willingness to take a back seat to the other stars and let them dominate the ball. That was until he was getting picked on and scapegoated for loses.... at that point he started demanding the ball.

All of this is beyond the main point that what Wade needs is a dominating center. Like it or not it only shows that Shaq really did his part. his presence cleared space and the threat of Shaq in the middle made it easy for Wade to dominate. Wade took over and stole the finals for us but all season it was Shaq and the Wade to Shaq connection that was just unstoppable. Even if we win another title I wont forget how exciting it was to see Wade throw lobs to a 300 pounder that would fight off two defenders to throw it down time and time again.

For that reason if D Howard is available then we go after D Howard and you do whatever it takes. If u have to give up one of the big three you do it. I would give Lebron for Howard. Riley better be tracking what Orlando wants and start getting pieces together to get that. Showcase Norric cole early get a buzz going on him then trade him Bosh and Miller for Howard and Arenas.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington
