Heat fill camp roster with Cameron Jones, Mickell Gladness, Jeremy Wise and Derrick Byars.

Apparently Mickell is a 25 year old Center from Alabama A&M. We apparently had him at training camp last year, then waived him.

Cameron Jones... I think I saw a topic about him around here. Is that Landry Fields cousin? I can't remember. His stats look good though o.o.
Seems it's just rookies for next year or something? lol

Yep, that's Landry's cousin. That video posted in the Training Camp though was from the D-League :|. Is he a combo guard? So he can play PG/SG? Kind of disappointed though, was expecting a Kwame Brown signing at the very least.
Chalmers/Cole/Cameron Jones?
Wade/Miller/House
James/Battier/Jones
Bosh/Haslem/Howard
Curry/Anthony/Pittman/Gladness
That's 16 people, someone's gonna get cut/sent to the D-League. Good thing RIley is getting younger with this team, replaced Damp/Z with young legs.
Hope his eye for talent is good.

Great... just signing people to train and I guess come back next year lol. Or they will cultivate them and use as trade bait... bleh.
They have also signed Derrick Byars.... yeah..... lol
then again it's probably for training camp, then these guys would get waived. Mickell was signed and waived already lol.

Joel is going to start. Ira said on twitter Curry isn't ready to play yet. Thanks for posting that though. The 1 and 5 rotations look so terrible compared to the 2,3,4

Aside from Chalmers and Anthony, I don't know what to expect out of the other guys. They could turn out to be decent enough.

Oh god.... I really don't want Joel to start... sigh. Bench yes, to start, NO.

I am going through a weight loss program (Weight Watches and P90X combined) and your face is the best indicator of your weight loss. His face looks a lot thinner and so does his neck...Then look at his shoulders, he's wearing a "Mommy I'm strong" shirt and his shoulders are cut...
Also Tim Grover said back in October that Curry was in NBA shape and ready to play. I take Grover's word over Ira's...
Ira also said that Rio would get cut in year 3 due to higher taxes but also mentioned that if Arison is willing to pay why not offering him $4 mil per year. If Rio works out, no way he gets cut in year 3. Ira just wants something to write because he's sucked all throughout the lockout and so far in camp.

Well we have Pittman... that's all now. And Bosh can play Center sometimes.
We're still going to have problems at Center regardless.
lmao yeah Ira can get annoying actually, and a bit pessimistic.
But he does speak with the Heat camp so... some good info.

Curry looks thinner from the chest up.

We'll see what he looks like soon enough. I know the guy can score...before you say it...yes, I know we don't need scoring, but it doesn't hurt to have a legitimate low post threat to spread the floor some.
If he buys into our system, he'll resurrect his career and then some. Just lock him in a weight room with Zo for a month.

Heat fans will hate Curry before it's all said and done.
He's by far, the worst center our Knicks franchise has ever seen. Not only is he one of the softest "Center's" we've ever seen as a fan base, he's always been EXTREMELY out of shape (and still is out of shape), can never do so much as DREAMING that he could run up and down the court without passing out and to make the situation worse? He has heart problems. Medical heart problems.
In 2008-2009, he only averaged 1.3 boards and 1.7 points after only 3 games. In 2009-2010, he only averaged 1.9 boards and 3.7 points during only 7 games. To make a long story short, he's missed 154 games over the past two years. He's an awful waste of size and fat.
He won't make it through training camp. No way can he keep up and run the floor with elite talents such as Wade, LeBron and Bosh. Not a chance guys.

BTW - how funny would it be if Curry would be our leading scorer in a game? even one game..would be crazy.
he had 6 (!) games with 30+ points in 06-07 when he was in shape. he's probably really rusty but there is some potential (mainly offensive, sadly) in him..

He's nice, but I think in terms of actually playing he's behind Pittman even. Think NYK StateOfMind is sort of on the right track when he states that he doesn't believe Curry can run with our guys.

:|. Really hate to say this, but our Championship chances for this year hinge on:
- Pittman or Curry exploding to start over Joel.
- Chalmers playing to his contract.
- Miller doing what he did not do last season.
- No Udonia injury.
- none of he big 3 being injured.
- Shane doing what Miller wasn't last year.

Ask Ira today, he picks 2 questions, "Ira, $12 million for Mario Chalmers! Is Pat Riley on drugs?" and of course agrees and mentions the team option as the only saving grace. Then, "Will Eddy Curry be this year’s Magloire?", and goes on to marginalize anything Magloire did here, despite him being about equal to Joel Anthony.
He's great with facts, but when it comes analyzing the team, some of his opinions I'll never be able to agree with.

IF GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY, HE'LL DO good, if we are forcing to play "our help" style of defense, he will struggle as they all do.

And nobody getting hurt in training camp, and this staff maximizing the talent on the team
