That guy is a **** beast, so this is what it's like to have a rookie that can play. What are your thoughts on Cole?

this is why teams need to keep draft picks. showtime lakers drafted AC green, elden campbell, vlade divac with late picks who all became starters. 80's celtics drafted brian shaw, dee brown, reggie lewis and dino radja with late picks. we should have allowed pittman to play and kept butler instead of all the dead weight at the end of the bench. This will also give this kid confidence for the playoffs and the championship. team to beat is the heat. Awesome rookie!

That's going too far. He's definitely a steal, but best rookie? Nahh.

Too early to say I'm completely sold on this guy? NOPE! Not for someone who has been facepalming everything that Mario Chalmers (or Chris Quinn, Carlos Arroyo, etc. for that matter...) has been doing for the past few years

Best rookie? Not sure about that. Kemba, Jimmer and Kyrie have something to say about that. I also think Rubio's technically a rookie too. Kyrie is the complete focus of the opposing defense, so I think his stats may be uglier, but he needs special consideration for what he has to do. He's gonna have to carry that franchise. PEACE.

seriously, dude is fearless. Even after missing a couple shots he still went up with no hesitation on any of his shots.

You know, even though Dorell turned out kinda OK, this pick makes up for us missing out on Jameer way back when. I remember thinking for sure we were going to draft Jameer that year and yet we passed on him.

Anyone know how Reggie Jackson has fared for the OKC? That was the dude everyone wanted with our pick, and when Norris came up we were all - who?

I can see Reggie hasn't played as yet, but haven't looked at pre-season.

Looking at the way Cole has improved himself from his sophomore to senior season, what's remarkable is his dramatic increases in production across the board despite relatively static minutes. Increasing his points per game from 13.3 to 21.6 while more than doubling his assists without increased minutes is an impressive feat, and a testament to Cole's coachability and ability to excel in various roles.

The most improved aspect of Cole's game this season would have to be his point guard abilities and overall feel for the game, as he's developed into a complete point guard capable of making all the passes needed in the halfcourt and transition. Cole does most of his damage operating out of the pick-and-roll, where he sees the entire floor at all times, keeps his head up, and frequently makes tough passes out of double teams to open teammates.

Cole is equally dangerous pushing the ball in transition, where he likewise constantly has his head up and eyes scanning the court, while he shows extremely good control of the ball with both hands, even when operating at full speed. Cole relies mostly on subtle changes of speed and direction to get by his opponent, not having a flashy arsenal of advanced moves. He uses his craftiness to compensate for a just-solid first step, as he's not the most explosive player around, but he does have good top speed once he gets going.

...being just as efficient off the dribble as he is spotting up. His form is consistent and he stays on balance very well when pulling up, something that helps him greatly in the pick-and-roll game when defenses sag.

Can't fault Draft Express, the report looks true to the player we've seen so far.

He's not the best Rookie this year BUT HE IS THE BEST PG WE HAD IN A LONG TIME.

Also i like how fits in with his solid outside shoting, really really glad we have him.

and remember guys, he'll only get better.
