Predict the longevity of Miami Heat's first winning streak

Post#1 » by TRG » Thu Dec 29, 2011 10:47 pm

I know its only 3 games and we nearly lost the last but after the Charlotte game it looks like our new Heat team is indeed serious about winning. The question is, how long can they go before they get their first loss?

Everyone submit your own opinion and I'll take everyone's submissions and add them at the bottom of the OP. If the Heat keep winning past your predicted loss, you're out! However, make sure your prediction isn't too high, so choose wisely! Whoever guesses correctly (or the closest) simply gets bragging rights. Who knows their team the best??

This thread is just for fun so don't take it too seriously. :)

The Upcoming Schedule (these are the next 15 games I'll add more if requested)

12/30/11 - (away) Minnesota Timberwolves (HEAT WIN!)
1/1/12 - (home) Charlotte Bobcats (HEAT WIN!)
1/2/12 - (home) Atlanta Hawks (predict 5 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/4/12 - (home) Indiana Pacers (predict 6 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/5/12 - (away) Atlanta Hawks (predict 7 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/7/12 - (away) New Jersey Nets (predict 8 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/10/12 - (away) Golden State Warriors (predict 9 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/11/12 - (away) L.A. Clippers (predict 10 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/13/12 - (away) Denver Nuggets (predict 11 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/17/12 - (home) San Antonio Spurs (predict 12 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/19/12 - (home) L.A. Lakers (predict 13 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/21/12 - (home) Philadelphia 76'ers (predict 14 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/22/12 - (home) Milwaukee Bucks (predict 15 games in a row if Miami loses here)
1/24/12 - (home) Cleveland Cavaliers (predict 16 games in a row if Miami loses here)

I would bet on the Clippers (10 wins). Second game of a back-to-back, on the road, they have good players inside and at PG, which are obviously the Heat's biggest weaknesses.

people really believe in jinxes when it comes to probability of winning...

A lesser known Einstein theorem proved that jinxes do in fact exist.

Kinda silly if you ask me... but ehh I'm sure there are others who will participate.

As for the rest in here, since you guys think this thread will indeed "jinx" the Heat for their next game, then I'll just put you guys down for the Heat losing the next game to the Timberwolves. That way, if they actually do lose, all of you win the contest and look smart in the process! Everyone wins! :)

If you want me to change your prediction just tell me to do so.

16 games in a row.

Seriously though, if I were a betting man it would be that back-to-back road game in Atlanta.

9. I don't know bout the Warriors. If we get past them, I don't see us getting past the Clips. I just think the b2bs are gonna be a bitch against high-octane offenses. PEACE.

Yeah that's gonna be a tough stretch of games. Plus they have Denver afterwards. Yikes...
