He can not box out and pretty much gets rebounds based on his length. Also not a very good offensive rebounder.

How? He's averaging 8, which is on par with Joakim Noah, who is considered to be a big hustling for rebounds on every play.

Okafor, LMA, Gortat, Kaman, Dalembert, Garnett, etc etc. are all averaging less than Bosh. Ànd Bosh is playing with Lebron who loves to grab rebounds.

You're forgetting that Haslem is avging 10 a game and Bron 8 as well.

Well he's definately not Kevin Love. He definately can't box out. he's 6'11 and only crashes 8 rebounds per game.. thats bad for a 6'11 Power Forward. He's soft, He's weak, he hates contacts, he's lazy... i hate the dude... 8 rebounds for a 6'11 starting PF who gets alot of minutes is NOT EXCEPTABLE!!! him and joel anthony can't rebound for crap and that's why alot of teams get second chance points against us.... smh...

no. but after all the talk about how he wanted the ball on the block and added 15 lbs to his frame... i still see a very talented softie. after a full year with miami, it's maddening that he can still have 8-10 pts games or 3-4 rebounds games.

As a resident in Toronto, no. He's better than plenty of bigs out there

He is not the worst, but he isn't the best. He does not have the will to grab rebounds, he doesn't fight for them like UD or someone else.

He said he wanted to average 10 rebs a game. He doesn't have it in him, he did great in Toronto because Toronto sucked when he was there, he was just their best player.

After Atlanta he has been TERRIBLE. I don't know if it wore him out, but the next 2 games he got 5 rebs and was man handled by WIlliams and Humphries... really?

UD will continue to lead this team in rebs.

If Bosh had the same rebounding skills as UD, he'd be one of the best.

I also think everyone here who remembers the rebounding woes when it came to offensive rebounds in the Finals knows Bosh didn't step up there. Again not the best, not the worst, but he's is in the bottom.

So what if he averages what Noah and has higher rebs than KG, for 100million or whatever he should be getting 10 rebs a freakin' game.

SMH This absolutely a dumb thrend. Yes he should be doing better, and he will. Right now he is a good rebounder not great. This topic just makes me say "WTF", when you have Joel Anthony on your team as the worse rebounding big in the NBA playing next to Bosh.

He's average to above-average.

He's a mediocore rebounder... he's 6'11 and averages 8 rebounds per game? Come on.

There are only so many rebounds in a game to get. I suppose he could fight with teammates during the game to get those extra 2 boards a game to make it 10.

Bosh plays with one of the best rebounders in the league at their position in Wade,LeBron and Haslem (Who all play a lot with Bosh).

And still grabs 8/game. I don't know what guys are expecting Bosh to average? 16?

look, it's very easy to look @ the box score and complain. but do people even watch the games anymore?

on the offensive end, where is Bosh? usually he's somewhere near the 3pt line.

he's used primarily to set picks for LBJ, Wade, Chalmers et al. if he's not rolling, that means he's popping out for the shot. sometimes..........he gets the ball back & takes the shot; which means it's highly unlikely that he's gonna get the rebound unless it was a horrible miss. and if he doesn't get the ball back, he's out of position for the rebound b/c he's still out near the 3pt line. if he comes crashing in to get the reb......guaranteed over the back foul. if Udonis is on the floor, he can afford to crash the board b/c he is the last option to shoot (unless Joel's also on the floor). there are less plays called for UD so his attention is on getting the rebound. i think one of the main con's of pushing for LBJ & Wade to get in the post is the fact that if they're there, Chris can't be. i mean, what exactly do you want him to do? push them out of the post. they race down the court & set up shop in the post. where is he supposed to set up to get better positioning for offensive rebounds w/o drawing fouls?

and on defense...........again, where is Chris? unless he's guarding the opposing 5, CB is usually drawn away from the basket. watch him. he's the big 6'11 dude hedging the ball handler...then scrambling back to his man who's usually 20 ft away from the basket. for the poster who said Bosh never boxes out, that is an outright lie. it will be easier to count on one hand when you don't see him boxing out. bear in mind, with all the switching/rotating Miami does on the defensive end.....he's not always matched up with his original counterpart @ the end of the play. but he will box out the nearest body.

my problems with him are that he is too unselfish when it comes to grabbing rebounds. there are plenty of times where he could have had double-digit rebounding games but he allowed another teammate to grab the loose ball. he's not as aggressive as UD but then again, that's all Haslem is coming into the game to do: rebound. i don't like that he ends up directly underneath the basket so often; he needs to fix that.

but to say that he's one of the worst rebounding bigs? that's beyond ridiculous. and it's a knee-jerk reaction. it's very possible for Chris to grab 10 rebs a game. but it may require him to be less of a team player & way more selfish. can he do that? i doubt it.
