Kobe got demolished on that possession. First he gets beat off the dribble then ends up looking like a fool after that dirty pass. LeBron could have easily pulled up for a jump shot after that first step (aka pulled a Kobe) but he knew he was going to Battier the whole time.

This clip just shows how unselfish and how great of a play maker he is. If only this LeBron showed up in the Finals... *sigh*

There was some time on the shot clock but we really didn't have anything going outside of a Bosh in the corner by the 3-point line. As soon as LeBron picked up his dribble I said "Oh crap, we're in trouble".

The vision and the strength to get the ball to Shane perfectly on point in that split second where the defense parted - incredible.

That play was beautiful great look from LeBron. Another example of where he is better than Kobe, Kobe would've taken that shot, LeBron hits the open teammate. Than after the pass is just pure Swag.

It still befuddles me what was gasol doing in that possession...he left bosh, forcing barnes to cover him, then just stands in the middle staring at lebron. It was unnecessary to double lebron right there, kobe was doing a decent job on him. He stands there, and when the pass is thrown to battier, he goes to bosh with barnes ALRDY THERE, and makes barnes run across the width of the court to close out on battier, gasol is (Please Use More Appropriate Word)

This is the kind of play that characterizes LeBron's mentality.

Many other players do the walkaway no-look thing before they see their own shot go in.

LeBron, rather, does it after he passes and before he sees his teammate's shot go in.

Amazing play.

Sad how one of the greatest all around talents in NBA history is going completely under appreciated due to unbiased media coverage and uneducated sports fans.

What's sad is LBJ has people like Skip Bayless on him, who just had to work for ESPN and he actually has a lot of followers and they mindlessly listen to what Skip says. Skip was the first one to come up with all those names for LBJ like LeBrick....

Which is sad because Skip comes off as a guy who doesn't even have an understanding of the fundamental ins and outs of basketball. He's just a talking head

With all due respect, you don't know what you are talking about.

Skip does know a lot about basketball, and his opinions are correct more than they are wrong.

About Skip and LeBron - you all get amnesia? You want to hate on Skip Bayless for what reason exactly? Becayse Skip keeps it real and calls out LBJ for the truth? Skip has been saying LBJ is PRINCE JAMES for a long time, because he chokes in big game situations in the playoffs.

Did you get amnesia as to what happened to LeBron vs the mavericks this past June?

Skip has been proven right, time and time again. You are the one that sounds like you don't know what you are talking about.

It would have been the play of the year if LeBron hadn't looked back as he walked away.

See, now that doesn't make sense to me. Let's acknowledge one series where in 5 games out of 6, he plays well below his standards (sure, call it choking if you want) and use that to conclude that what Skip's been saying for 9 years is accurate? Never mind that against two superior defenses in Chicago and Boston he showed up in a big way in the biggest moments that very same year.

Or that he's played historically against the year's top defensive team back in 2009, puts up 12 per game in the fourth quarter throughout the series, hits a game winner in game two at the buzzer, wins the game going 1 on 5 in game 5, only to have his teammates come up short for the series overall. Or that he defies the odds, takes down another strong defensive team in the 07 Pistons, by coming up in dominant fashion in a game 5 on the road that shouldn't have been close, scores 29 of his teams last 30 points and takes them to the Finals. I'll give you that he has a terrible finals series that year, but that's more an issue of not being skilled enough to play against that defense and less of choking under pressure.

Or that he comes in at 21, with all the hype around him, and puts up 36 a game in his first ever playoff series, hits 2 game winners at the buzzer, then takes the top seeded Pistons to 7 games, scores half his team's points in Game 7 while the rest of the team goes 9/41 and loses him the game.

Soo, yeah, IMO it's ignorant to only point to his failures (which there are fewer of) and to simply ignore that on the flipside, he's also played at a historic level in big game or big moment situations. As I said, Bayless is an idiot, who, for whatever reason, has disliked Lebron since his high school days, and that shows in his biased analysis of his play.
