Preview
The Southeast Division-leading Heat (18-6) have been nearly unbeatable at home, with their only losses 100-92 to Atlanta on Jan. 2 and 91-82 to the Bucks on Jan. 22.

Since that loss to Milwaukee, Miami has won a season-best five straight on its own court -- most recently holding on to defeat Toronto 95-89 on Sunday.

"We came into (the) game knowing we wouldn't be able to take any shortcuts and it would be a work game," coach Erik Spoelstra, whose team improved to 11-2 at home, told the league's official site. "We would have to work the game for 48 minutes. We knew we would face a lot of zone ... We will take this win and move on."

Ranking second in the league with 29.2 points per game while shooting what would be a career-best 55.2 percent from the floor, James scored 30 and grabbed nine rebounds versus the Raptors.

While James' efforts have resulted in plenty of MVP conversation, he's isn't concerned about bringing home any hardware.

"Every time I go on the basketball court I try to be the MVP for our team," he said. "I try to lead -- that's how I've always tried to carry myself to that standard of being the MVP every time I go on the court."

James also downplayed the significance of facing his former team again. He scored a hard-fought 18 points on 8-of-21 shooting in a 92-85 win over the Cavaliers on Jan. 24 as the Heat improved to 4-1 versus Cleveland since James joined them.

"It's not as big as it was last year of course. Each game it kind of goes away," he said. "But it's always fun going against your old teammates."

Doubt it, with Spo giving him limited minutes,I believe he's averaging like 32-33 minutes since he's come back from the injury.

Lets get this W! Also, I'd rather Alonzo Gee not get so many highlight dunks on us this time around.

PS They know better by now than to fall under this trap, *knock on wood*

I was at the first Cavs game. They play better defense than they're given credit for. IIRC, they did a great job of closing out on our 3pt shooters. Kyrie is also a damn good player, at least last time I paid attention.

With all that said, this should end in a double-digit win and more Cleveland tears. Anything short of that would be a disappointment. Let's go Heat! PEACE.

This is the type of game where I sit Battier. Give him some rest and give JJ some playing time. I think at time we all get caught up in the regular season and forget to see the big picture. I'm sitting people out and giving rest. LeBron is having an MVP season, give him a day off.

I miss 40 point Wade too but due to his limited minutes this season I doubt we will see that side of him no more than 3 times this season (And I'm being generous). Nevertheless, GO HEAT!

Please lets no suck. No reason the score should ever be close. If the Big 3 wants to just take over and blow them out, they could easily sit the whole fourth. They're going to need a lot of rest coming up, and what better time to get it than against the Cavs. Plus they play O-Town tomorrow so I hope they're rest for that and put a nice beat down on the Magic.

I would like for our players to blow these guys out in the first 3 quarters to rest our Big 3 for the entire 4th.

We have bigger fish to fry than the Cavs atm, but knowing this team, this game will definitely come down to the last 5-6 minutes in the 4th. -.-
