Is the league MVP Lebron James's to lose?

Averaging 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists on 54% shooting is truly special.
These are numbers not seen since the great MJ...
On paper only it seems, Kevin durant could nap it off him given his numbers and record.
do you see anything stopping lebron from winning his 3rd MVP?

Its really LeBrons MVP to keep! Everyone is rooting for him not to get it.
The league and GM's around the league will do whatever it takes to give it to someone else. LeBron needs to keep up the numbers and finishs with a top 2 record for him to win it.

Sportswriters and broadcasters vote for MVP.

He deserves it but its a vote so who knows who they vote for. Last year they gave it to Rose when Lebron was much better.

They gave it to Drose for the story... It was Dwight's MVP.
Derrick Rose put up Steve Francis numbers without the great rebounding.
Lebron was better than Rose last year.
But that's the thing about sportsbroadcasters and writers picking MVP they are sensationalists.

And I bet you wrote that with a straight face.
Steve Francis was a) an idiot b) never even CLOSE to as good a scorer as Derrick Rose and c) in case you missed it before, an idiot.
Perhaps you meant "empty stats," like those Francis put up his whole career, but even then, you'd be wrong, given that Rose drove the Chicago offense with Keith Bogans as a starter (

) and his frontcourt players missing tons of time, then dragged them into the ECFs.
Either way, o.O, what a ludicrous statement.

didn't say rose was better but his stats were impressive. Better than they are now that's for sure.

Derrick Rose didn't do anything, it was that team defense that allowed Derrick Rose to chuck shots and still keep a game close.
It was the team defense that allows Derrick Rose to turn himself into a volume shooter.
So no...Derrick Rose winning MVP was sensationalist because they see Derrick Rose hitting gamewinners and then they see he's putting up 25 a game, and they see that through that spectacular team defense they are winning 60 plus games.
ESPN runs the story, and BAM he's MVP.
And Boozer was so damn bad that they would play Taj Gibson in crunch time.
Gibson > Boozer
Boozer sucks, that was a bad signing, Boozer is terrible and I bet they see Boozer and regret it every single day.
Lets not act like Derrick Rose was playing spectacular Gary Payton defense then he was scoring 25 a game and shooting near 49 percent and 38 percent from the 3 and 85 percent from the line.
He was playing at an All Star Level, not MVP level. I don't look at Derrick Rose and go MVP. Even now I don't see it.
Dude was the weakest MVP candidate in the last 5 years.
Dwight Howard anchors an entire defense. Dwight Howard is the only reason Orlando can even win a game. Dwight Howard was robbed.

Understand, I'm not debating with you about whether or not Rose deserved the MVP; I don't believe he did either.
I'm debating the ridiculous comment you made about "Steve Francis stats."
It was the team defense that allows Derrick Rose to turn himself into a volume shooter.
What? That's inane; it was the lack of offensive talent that could create for itself that put him in that role, nevermind the fact that his best offensive talent was in and out of the lineup due to injury.
And Boozer was so damn bad that they would play Taj Gibson in crunch time.
That doesn't actually help your case here, Cablex, you realize that right?
Gibson > Boozer
On defense, certainly. Boozer is a bad defender. Good rebounder and he's been hitting that mid-range jumper a lot more effectively this year (the change has been from 37 to 45 percent, which has returned his offensive utility).
Boozer sucks, that was a bad signing, Boozer is terrible and I bet they see Boozer and regret it every single day.
They do not, most certainly not since he started to come through for them offensively.
Lets not act like Derrick Rose was playing spectacular Gary Payton defense then he was scoring 25 a game and shooting near 49 percent and 38 percent from the 3 and 85 percent from the line.
No, but he was playing above average defense. He certainly wasn't the lynchpin of their defensive system, but he WAS the main motor behind their offense.
Dwight Howard anchors an entire defense. Dwight Howard is the only reason Orlando can even win a game. Dwight Howard was robbed.
Again, I don't debate that point, I thought Dwight or maybe Lebron should have won the 2011 MVP.
I just take issue with silly things like equating Rose to Steve flipping Francis.

Its really sad how so many people still think Rose, or Durant could beat LeBron for MVP. His numbers are off the charts, and is playing better ball than anyone in the league. I don't see how he isn't the clear front runner right now, and deserves the MVP more than anyone. People just hate him now for that whole Decision thing and won't admit his skills when they're clear and apparent.

The only question would be if thunder got the best record then the media might be unsure.

But they could get the best record without him having a monster season. Same could be said for Miami with LeBron, but the numbers LeBron is putting up are just insane. That reason right there should be the reason he wins the MVP, but the media hates on him so its likey he won't win it....so dumb.

I think MVP will be between Lebron and CP3.
CP3 will probably get it due to the Steve Nash effect he has on the Clippers.

what he said! That Chicago Team's defense was on point and proved to be the real reason they were winning. Look at this year, they are like 6-2 without him. That team is still capable of winning without him cause of the coach. IT was howard's to win last year

lol I just said his numbers, they are really more like Starbury numbers without the assists but you get the point.

And i bet in 2 more years that Boozer signing will look real dumb and not trading Noah for Carmelo will look real dumb.

I disagree not being biased honestly, This season LBJ is playing amazing hands down leader in the MVP race I wouldn't mind seeing him get another he's fun to watch..

As long as the Heat end up #1 or #2 in the east it really should be LeBron.
Honestly I felt like they didn't give LeBron last yeasr MVP just because they didn't want to give him a third kind of like what happened to MJ when Charles won, and again when Karl won. MJ got pissed off and destroyed those two in the finals. Kind of wish LeBron would take it personal and just destroy Rose this year.

Let's be real, on another team DRose would have been a lot more efficient. Part of the reason he was chucking was because no one else on that offense is going to get them shots, so if he's not taking it, who else will? Chicago leaned heavily on DRose, and somehow he delivered the best record in the league despite having a very rocky cast (with injuries, new coach, etc). Team defense was a big part of it, but give that man his due. I'm not saying that this means I would have voted him MVP, but it does lend perspective to his stats and I can respect what the dude did.
However, this season I would feel pretty robbed if Lebron didn't win it. The guy has no equal right now, and he's literally having the kind of season that one doesn't usually see in basketball. This is special stuff.
