LAst week someone was complaining Wade didn't play enough minutes, now we need minutes for the 14th man

The obvious solution is to start playing triple overtime games

I love Harris but, the only time i want to see him on the court is in the last 7 mins of the 4th.

We should have the game in hand by then.

The thread title should read "Why doesn't Harris dress for games?" Seriously makes no sense to have Howard in a game uniform. He can't offer the team ANYTHING. At least Harris can score, defend, and rebound. Howard just stands around....

I don't know why Harris doesn't dress, yet Juwan does. Juwan is terrible and shouldn't even sniff the court in garbage time. Why Harris doesn't get minutes though is because there aren't enough to go around. If it ain't broke, why try to shoehorn someone into a rotation with limited minutes already?

I rather have Harris be activated. He brings more to the court anyway, and would do better than Juwan in garbage time LOL.

Harris and Eddy will be great next year! You have to realize that our system and conditioning is one of the hardest. If we groom them right we got a great bench/role players after we loose Howard next year. We have no draft picks so lets build our future around them and norris.

I think Spo has a mandate from Pat that Juwan must dress. Sort of an end-of-long-career respect thing. Its garbage, and I hate it. He should not have been re-signed. There were many way better options. If our scouting staff glanced at overseas players, we could've signed that Ayon guy NO now has.

I love Harris and his potential, but he's not cracking a perimeter rotation that already can't fit James Jones, even though he might already be better.

Spo needs to develop his young players. Howard is pointless. Make him a scout to the team or something lol

I think the reason Howard dresses and Harris doesn't is because we're thinner up front, and if he needs to send someone out to start a fight with someone, Howard is the man to do that.

At any rate, I think it's fine that Harris doesn't play. He knows his role, and is probably happy just to be getting the paycheck. He's shown that if we get injuries to any of the big three he's ready to come in and contribute, just like James Jones. Unfortunately it's a numbers game, and we have all of our top players on the perimeter, so there's no time for him most games. But I'm sure we'll pick up some injuries in the second half of the season, and he'll see some time again. Wouldn't be the craziest thing in the world to send him down to the D-League. But we might also be hiding him on the bench and not wanting other teams to really see his talent until we've got him locked up long term, and have minutes he can play.

Yes you have a point that right now it shouldn't matter. But lets be honest theres no reason Howard should dress over Harris. Howard doesn't bring anything to the game. Yes he only plays in blowouts but he's old and he's proven his worth, and right now he's riding the bench just chasing a ring. Harris can at least rebound, defend, and score. I just wish he got playing time instead of Howard. It sort of angers me when Howard is allowed to wear a Heat uni on the court....
