He does need to get some credit for whats going on with this team in terms of their amazing success. I know a lot of people would love nothing more than to see him fired, but he's been doing a great job this season. Yes we can all agree that sometimes we leave people wide open for 3, and over pack the paint, and worry about giving up 2 more than 3. Yes a lot of yes think that sometimes his rotations are just stupid and utterly momentum killing. But none of that has KILLED us the way a lot of people make it out to be. We are still tied for the best record in the league, have the best record in the East, and are on an absolute tear. He as made the adjustments this team has needed to make from last year, were getting out on the run more, he's adjusted our run against the zone defense, our half court offense is light years ahead of what it was last year, we don't depend on ISO Wade, ISO LeBron, and ISO Bosh every single possession.
Time to give credit where credit is due. But a lot of people won't ever give credit, or only will after we get a ring.

I can't count how many times people called for Coach Spo's head after those Chicago games lol. I was a lurker at the time but damn it was hilarious seeing that sh*t. This man has worked hard for the position he has and he is doing a damn good job.

If he tells Miller to stop leaving his man who hit's 3's (ITS ALWAYS THE MOST DANGEROUS BENCH PLAYER TOO), then I'll give him some credit.

Idk the offense was ugly today, I don't know who's fault that was. The Heat themselves missed easy buckets.
But there were some iso balls which I think we took a step back.
We looked great when there was ball movement.
When Battier started to guard Novak, that's when he disappeared... I give him that.
But he has done a good job. I like the minutes management.
I didn't like LBJ playing 40 minutes today and he played with all of his energy, but whatever. LBJ has had a good season when it has come to minutes so it's alright, especially before the all-star break.
But the playoffs is when it matters and I do not want to see Spo out-coached again. We have the pieces and personnel now.
But keeping this team CONSISTENT is what will be key. They tend to slack off, coast, etc. I haven't seen that in the past 8 games.

I'm not going to lie during the Finals I thought he should go. He never adjusted to what Dallas was running and never adjusted to their players(Dampier, JJ). But looking back it was more than that. They just weren't as experienced as they are now, they didn't have the flow, they didn't have the bench, they didn't have a healthy Miller/Haslem. So I don't call for his head too much, just wish he'd adjust packing the paint against weaker PGs. Tonight there was no reason for Novak to get that open look when LeBron pulled off him to help on BARON DAVIS!!! But like I said it hasn't completely killed us.

Miami scored 102 points tho

I'll take it
But there were some iso balls which I think we took a step back.
Its going happen, not every time Miami is in the half court a play will be run to perfection.
We looked great when there was ball movement.
Of course, when Miami plays like a team they are basically unbeatable.
When Battier started to guard Novak, that's when he disappeared... I give him that.
I believe he was 4-5 before Shane was put on him. Fantastic adjustment but it was obvious as hell Miller was getting roasted
But keeping this team CONSISTENT is what will be key. They tend to slack off, coast, etc. I haven't seen that in the past 8 games.
And hopefully we dont see it anymore. Miami needs to stop playing down to their competition...just pack up teams early and rest the fourth quarter

He did get outcoached in the finals...but lets be real bro if Lebron wouldve played up to par they would be going for their 2nd ring now...he coached them to the finals and fell 2 games short...this is after the team became the most scrutinized team in the history of sports. He was shredded by fans after wins and losses lol.

It is underrated at how big a task it is to get 3 players like that to mesh with one another.

Little does ESPN know that the Heat have an Asian American of there own. A secret weapon you may say in that of Spo.

Call me a skeptic, but I am still upset with some minor things that Spoelstra does. That has not changed just because we are winning. I do understand that no coach can be perfect, but despite the fact that he has gotten markedly better he is still far from it. I will not "love" him as the Miami Heat's coach until he proves it in the Finals. His stubbornness, above all, remains worrisome.

I'm just glad there isn't a "Fire Spo" thread this year. I think that means he's doing his job well lol

Y'all know how I feel about our coach. I've defended him enough, and sang his praises. I'm really glad we have him and see great things for the future with him. That contact extension has given him so much confidence. Dude has his subtle filipino swag working this season. Pat trusts him, and the team respects him. That's all I need. PEACE.

Hes doing better but its ring or bust. Lets be real he was so out coached in the finals that it cost us a championship. Like others have said im a skeptic but a ring will change that

So am I alone when I wish we had an elite head coach? I like Spo, don't get me wrong, but imagine what we would accomplish with an elite head coach, or even like a Lawrence Frank type of coach.

I'd take Spo over Frank. Spo has an amazing mentor in Pat Riley and he's showing it this year.
