Dan Le Batard has a nice piece today on Bosh. Wade is my favorite Heat player for sentimental reasons, but I have to say that Bosh is a close second. He's a great guy, and out of all three, I have the most respect for him for the sacrifices he's made. His career totals will be significantly lower than they could have been, he defers on a constant basis, is disregarded and insulted by media and peers alike, and has been able to stay ready and contribute when needed.

I'm proud of him, happy that he's on our squad, and when it's all said and done, I hope he'll have a chip or three on his resume.

Good read.. I think most Heat fans already know this about Bosh. For all the reasons listed in the article, Bosh has slowly become one of my favorite Heat players of all time. I think as the seasons progress.. Many Heat fans will agree.

Haters focus on what he's not(brute force) instead of focusing on what he his. Skilled big, who plays fantastic team defense, accepts his role in Miami with open arms all for a shot to win. Players always talk about "oh I just want to win.. Numbers don't concern me" but you tell on the court that isn't true. With Bosh, his actions speak louder then anything.

Good read. I love Bosh and how level headed he is. He really wants to get this ring, because he knows once they taste that champagne, they're going to be even more hungry than they are now.

Bosh has gotten up there with Wade as my favourite Heat player.

I've always liked Bosh ever since he joined us. While his game on the court has evolved and actually become a more aggressive, while still smooth and controlled one, he's the kind of athlete you could actually consider a role model for young children. He's smart, ambitious, yet open and honest and seems to have good values. My favorite part in the article is about him coming to Miami and instead of using it to party and find girls, he gets engaged, which shows that he still values the institution of marriage and is not your usual kind of athlete who has a different girl in every city. I think today's society suffers from false ideals of excessive drinking and sleeping around and Chris Bosh is a refreshing difference amongst most athletes.
I also disagree with the perception of him being soft. Did he cry after losing the Finals? Sure. But crying is simply an emotional reaction, which is understandable given the loss he suffered. But the difference is, Bosh didn't let this take him down. He's actually more dedicated and focused than ever and a so called 'soft' person wouldn't respond this way.

This is exactly what the raptor fans were saying before he left Toronto. CB4 is a great player and person.

i too am a big fan of Bosh, i think his value is sometimes grossly under estimated. the guy is generally money from inside the 3pt line. that 3 he hit against Atlanta was one of my fave moments this season so far.

You guys were really lucky that Bosh was the third piece of this arrangement. I think he may be the only person with his level of ability and combination of selflessness and intelligence to make the group work. If the third person was someone as "big" as Lebron or Wade and had their "egos" .... It would probably be tough trucking.
