Lebron Is Down to Second Place In Mvp Race

http://www.nba.com/mvp-ladder/2011-12/index.htmlIt will be sad to see Durant taking the mvp. I am not a really deep basketball watcher like the ones in our board,so warn me if am mistaken, but the winner of the "Race to the Mvp" part is mostly the Mvp of the season.
It is unfair to put Durant to the first place, after a week Okc was 2-2. Yeah Lebron had a bad week compared to his standarts especially in offence but still Miami is going good. I doubt they will never give this guy a Mvp just because of the fact that he has won it twice. I would like to see one of our guys taking the mvp. The matter now is of course the ring but it will be bitter to see Lebron not taking the Mvp.

So LeBron got bumped down for "shooting just 46 percent over his last 5 games." Meanwhile Durant has shot a sizzling 45 percent over his last 5 games and was moved up?
Seriously, the only thing that they could harp on was that he hasn't shot as well as he has the rest of the season and "hasn't made the same impact." Yet he is shooting better than Durant over the last 5 games for each player and has 9 rebounds and 7 assists per game (Durant 7.4 rebs 3.6 assists).
Hmm... pretty baseless and dumb.

Meh that ranking is pretty much pointless anyways. I think it will come down to who ends up with the better record between us and the Thunder.
Lebron needs to bust out of this mini-slump though. Was hoping he'd finish the year at 55 percent shooting.

LeBron's standards are too high.... sigh.
He has been having a rough stretch, but he exhausts himself on the defensive end unlike Durant. He also got a beating against Phoenix.
That nba ranking also had Lin had number 10 awhile back, I don't think people will be basing their MVP ranks on nba.com. We all know ESPN is the brainwasher of the sports world, and they have people who want LBJ to be the MVP, aswell as DPOY.
Good point about Durant shooting 45% the past 5 games, and LeBron 46% past 5 games. Yeah because LeBron is suppose to shoot 50% every game and everyone else can shoot below that and still be MVP.... typical.
LMAO Only LeBron can go down on the MVP ladder for 21ppg, 9 rebs a game, and 7 (SEVEN) assists last week on 46% shooting. Such clowns these guys are. 46% is like the average for every NBA player, just low for LeBron standards. This annoys the hell out of me.

If Lebron plays anything like he did in the first half, he will be MVP. There's no way he doesn't win this. NBA.COM is just trolling.

This ranking is and always has been pointless. It comes down to voting. Not having Stern check nba.com or something like that.

Pay close attention to what is going on and you will see what is about to take place.
The media is pushing any angle to diminish Lebron's standing in the MVP ranks while going full bore in his promotion as the leagues defensive player of the year.
Translation.
Lebron will not win MVP this year and they know it (because they vote for it). What they are doing is crafting their exit strategy, as in what angle to best utilize in the anti Lebron MVP stance.
Bad 4th quarters, not clutch, differs, too much help, whatever sticks when voting time rolls around...
They know he is having a great season but they are not giving him a third MVP, no matter what his stats look like. They will give him defensive player of the year as consolation (whether he truly deserves it, or not).

Great summary. They are and will be working hard to not give him the third MVP. Even now our win percantage is better than OKC, even they lost two games in a week, they put Durant to first place. This is unfair and stupid. I don't claim that K.D doesn't deserve it but from first to last week up to now, Lebron was the first in this Race To The Mvp thing and the reason that he is being dropped from the first place is just made up i think.

You guys need to relax. Yes, Lebron is in an offensive slump right now, but it can only continue for so long. He'll get back to being as productive on all ends as he has been soon enough. This is just something new for people to talk about, making things questionable when two weeks ago, it wasn't even a question. Just as quickly as people want to cast doubts, reassurance can be brought upon in just a stretch or two.

Maybe it's just me, but I really think Lebron does not care enough to want it. I think he finally realize that no matter what he does good or bad its al going to be judge against him. No matter what he does in the reguler season, it the playoffs and the final for him to overcome. People I think he finally gets it, really I think wade is teaching him well.
Every now and then you might see flashes of smurk he gives toward the crowd on a play, but he has tone that down some as the season moved on.

I think Lebron is bored, but still, I want him to get MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, so we can brag and boast about that, then get the NBA Champion and Finals MVP so then we can celebrate.

A win over OKC will likely bump up his stock over Durant.

Especially if he has a better game than Durant.

Must win game on Sunday, or the media will have their feel good narrative to deprive LeBron of yet another MVP.

If Lebron wins MVP over Durant, he should pay Derek Fisher a bonus for taking minutes from Westbrook and thereby helping the Heat (Lebron) beat OKC (Durant) in the regular season series.

This "MVP Ladder" doesn't determine who wins, right? I thought it came down to a vote?
But yeah, if Durant wins MVP over LeBron there's something wrong with the league.
