Pat Riley from front office to head coach part 2...It's Time

Post#1 » by Roll Tide Baaby » Mon Mar 26, 2012 1:31 am

The league is so watered down and talentless, that just off our talent alone we can win 58-70 games without even trying. We can beat 95% of the teams while we are sleep walking. Its that other 5% of teams that get us. T-Mac was the most talented player I have ever seen. If he would have had the heart of michael jordan, iverson, kobe, garnett, etc, he would have been jordans equal. T-mac was lazy and passive, and is now known as a scorer who never won anything. LeBron reminds me alot of T-Mac. He is also very passive. Wade coasts alot, and Bosh is very passive as well. It is trickling down, and our team just doesnt come out and battle each and every night like the thunder, bulls, lakers, and spurs. Our 3 stars need a burst. When they look over and see dumbass spoelstra on their sideline...thats not good enough. they dont respect him. They need to look over to the sideline, in the huddles, in the lockeroom, and at practices, and see a legend on the sideline. They need to see Pat Riley. Spo is not the man for the job. they need pat doing some great skit like the 15 deep thing or whatever was going on when shaq was here that motivated them. Spo cant motivate these 3. its pat riley time

It wouldn't make a damn difference. As long that Joel Anthony is our starting Center, we're not going to win anything. Look at all the other top contending teams starting centers compared to our starting center. They have great frontcourt depth[second chance rebounds = more possessions]. Our team simply lack the size and much needed depth at the center position to take to the next level.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

And yet there's a 6'11 All-Star caliber PF on the roster. He is a bit soft I agree, but if I'm Spoelstra I go hardball and try to get him to adjust to a C position. Then I'd make Joel Anthony ride the pine and play Turiaf, Haslem & Battier at PF. Yes Battier playing PF on the defensive end because he is capable, more so than Joel Anthony.

The personnel might not be the best but the coaching should at least maximise their assets rather than blatantly ignore obvious weaknesses.

I think this is going too far. It's not like this was game 1 of the Finals lmao.

Yeah Bosh got eaten alive by Perkins and Ibaka.

Joel did nothing as usual.

Perkins had WIDE OPEN dunks and Ibaka actually hit his jumper. I doubt that happens in a 7 game series anyway. Our defense wasn't great at all tonight.

I'm really shocked though they didn't show effort or anything. It's like they didn't care. I've seen more sense of urgency when they play Chicago (at home earlier in the season), or even NY this season. Or when we have that backtobacktoback on the road. Now they look bored.... that sounds cocky but I don't know what to say about this team. Unless they are tired. I think LeBron needs rest honestly.

I must say, when Turiaf was in there, Perkins missed his shot. Because he actually bodied him up. Joel looks like a midget to every Center in the damn league. God.

Regular season game guys.

As far as I'm concerned, the regular season NBA is just pre-season.

There are just too many inconsistencies with this team. Our Star players are way too unselfish down the stretch(*cough LeBron*cough*). Instead of looking to take over, they constantly give the ball up to players who shouldn't even take those kind of shots in late possessions. It just makes our offense more predictable. Another one is defending the 3pt line(it has been one of our team's biggest weaknesses for years now).

I get what you're saying, but those things weren't a factor in the loss today. LeBron tried to make shots in the 4th, they didn't go down. Wade didn't get the ball more than he should have.

It looked like we tried to take away the 3 more than the paint, thinking Perkins (who averaged 4.4 points a game) is like Joel (he kind of is) and would miss all his wide open dunks. They picked their poison and lost.

Thunder shot 6-11 from 3. Better than 17 3's we gave up against Orlando . Giving up 6 3's to a team like this is a success honestly.

Us? 7-22 from 3. That's too much 3's from us. Our best 3 point shooter wasn't even out there. Battier had great looks all night, couldn't do much. He had some timely 3's, but then they shot too many 3's. They needed to get into the paint and draw more fouls. I don't know if they didn't think to do this because they weren't getting calls.

Wade is starting to shoot too many 3's too. yeah he hit 3 incredible ones, but you really don't want him shooting a 3 if you're a Heat fan. He has his unconscious moments, but I wouldn't bank on it.

they had too many TO's today too. Then we didn't convert off of their TO's. This game, they didn't play Heat offense or defense at all.

Couldn't get any stops all night. Defense was bad on the inside.

Defense was trash. 60 points in the first half is garbage.

LOL - the obligatory Fire spo thread after every loss.

Sure the Thunder were better last night. It's pretty insignificant. There are a lot of things that have to happen before we meet up with them in the playoffs. Chances are that we don't.

We need to worry about lots of things but the Thunder is way down the list.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

More realistic situation would be:

Demote Spo to video coordinator

"Demote" Riley to HC
