As the thread title asks, who do you guys think is a better scorer, Dwyane Wade or LeBron James? It is a completely different question than asking who is the better player and I do think it is relatively obvious who is the better player but we are talking about the better scorer here.

For me, I would say the answer is Dwyane Wade. While LeBron's scoring averages are higher this season in like everything except FT shooting, Wade is a more reliable scorer in the half-court and in the clutch which is why I think Wade is the best scorer on the Heat.

It is essentially the same reason why I think Durant is a better scorer than LeBron or best scorer in the league for that matter but almost all of Durant's numbers back it up.

I wanted to know you guys (Heat fans) opinions though.

LeBron is the better scorer because of his consistency. Wade can really score at will and attempts higher percentage shots. However, LeBron just makes ridiculous shots like it's nothing.

From a Lebron fan, i have to say Wade.

I disagree, while Lebron is my favorite player, Wade is a more polished offensive player. Better mid range game, imo Wade is also better at creating a good shot, plus he is a better closer.... Lebron is the best player, Wade is the better scorer.... IMO.

LeBron is the best scorer in the NBA. LeBron can score 50 pts anytime he wants to.

What am I trying to fool? I asked a question of who is a better scorer between two players. I never claimed or said I was a Heat fan so what are you complaining about? You are clearly a LeBron only fan though. How was Cleveland before 2010?

Seriously though I don't think now is the proper time for LBJ vs. Wade threads.

I'd say Lebron by a small margin. It's been that way pretty much every year except the one year Wade went all out to prove he was back. On this team, probably Wade because that is more his role. Lebron does everything else.

Lebron is but he's less aggressive. Wade is a shooting guard and always looks to score, he has a better post game and better ability to maneuver in the paint to take high percentage shots. lebron is not that much better a scorer but he's more consistent

Lebrons jumpshot is better, he can make shots from anywhere on the court. If he works on his footwork he becomes really unstoppable

Who and how am I trying to fool people? Did I say I was a LeBron fan? No. Did I say I was a Heat fan? No. I would understand words before using them.

LeBron. Wade tries too many pump fakes and asking for calls...

LeBron's turn around fade in the post looks unstoppable when he's on.

If LeBron drove to the basket like he use to, it would be no contest.

Wade is more fun to watch AT TIMES, such as with his trick shots. But if he's asking for calls the whole game and flopping in the air all the time, it's not fun.

Lebron. His scoring averages for his career speak for themselves. Has Wade ever averaged more points than Lebron for a season?

I think what tilts it is that it's much easier for Lebron to score than Wade, because he can just shoot over people. Wade has to pump fake do ten crossovers, and take contact to do it. It's why Lebron is the more consistent scorer, but Wade can be the more explosive scorer at times.

I think though when both guys are in the zone, Lebron takes and makes more insane shots. I think his career high is higher than Wade's too, no?

It's kind of why the finals sucked so much because our most consistent and productive scorer on the team, decided he wanted to be the third option on offense for a series, all of a sudden.

I swear our biggest opponent is ourselves.

With the improved jump shot, Wade is the better scorer at this point. He got the best post game of the two, better shooting, he is the better slasher, can get to the restricted line anytime he wants.

But offensively overall Lebron is still better and he's better defensively too. He's just the better player really and this is coming from a Wade fan that didn't want Lebron to ever get more rings than Wade.

You have to respect Lebron's post game now though apparently. I see him getting doubled up like he's Shaq.

Wade is the better scorer, but Lebron is the all around better player. They are both freakly gifted, one is smaller, but he plays larger then life (Wade), the other one even though he is larger than life he can play small, medium just as effective.

Offensively, I would have to say Wade.

Lebron is the better all around player, but that doesn't necessary mean much if your heart is not there ( Big moments, Finals, etc). If Wade had Lebron's height and physical gifts, it would be over like Donkey Kong!!!! lol
