Basic keys to beat Dallas let Dirk score all he wants who cares hardly no one in NBA can guard his jumper he is 7 feet tall so just play him PHYSICAL straight up one on one no double team or anything just play lock down aggressive man defense on him, rest of team on perimeter too and we got them beat. One man cant beat a team LeBron (if playing) or Battier needs to play Marion PHYSICAL not let him be a REBOUNDING issue for us and Odom too depending on lineup they use Bosh needs to bring it. WE NEED TO TRY AND OUT REBOUND THEM have active hands take away passing lanes cause them to have turnovers & we need to stop having so many turnovers. We need to play faster they are a slower older team lets try to bring our best ENERGY EFFORT EFFICIENCY. Spo you should send me half of your pay check lol LET TURIAF START, JOEL AS BACK UP OR USE HIM FOR MORE DEFENSIVE SITUATIONS STRETCHES WHEN STOPS NEEDED TRY TO GIVE PITTMAN MORE MINUTES TOO FOR REBOUNDING PURPOSES ALSO SO HE CAN KEEP DEVELOPING MORE. On offense we need to ATTACK BASKET more with LeBron, Wade & Cole/Chalmers to collapse defense for drive & kicks to shooters and get them in foul trouble. We need not settle for too many jumpers, if we are making them then fine keep shooting them. Establish middle against zone defense one way or the other guys slashing to basket in middle get Bosh or Turiaf ball in middle for close buckets too or they can kick out to shooters. More ball and player movement not be so predictable run/move try to ware them down. MAKE OUR SHOTS! Try not to keep it a half court game try to make it our style of running game. BE THE AGGRESSOR ON BOTH ENDS.

Heat should win this game. I believe Haywood is still injured so Dallas is rolling out Ian Mahinmi as their starting C yet again. Delonte West is scheduled back from injury today, but he's mainly out there for defense and some decent playmaking.

Someone mentioned on the first page that Miami should only single cover DIRK. I think that's the wrong approach to defending Dallas. Doubling DIRK and daring his teammates to beat you is the best way to defeat the Mavericks. His teammates don't usually step up.

His teammates did last year and no best thing to do is let Chris Bosh or Udonis Haslem handle him and defend the three point line. The center position is a wash but still with LeBron's injuries and the way Shawn Marion plays defense we need to play like we did on opening night. NO MORE LEAVING SHOOTERS OPEN AT THE THREE POINT LINE.
