Wade's 3 point shot...

I know it's never been the best aspect of his game, I haven't looked at the stats over the years, but I'm sure he used to have a bit more consistency with his shots from beyond the arc.
He is definitely taking less 3 point shots in recent seasons but I've heard this is something he's been working at recently. It would certainly be a welcome addition to his game, along with perfecting that mid range jumper that he had nailed down around 08/09.

It is something we never want to see because it means that the team are in a hole and clueless as to the way out.
Wade should drive to the basket on EVERY play.

That takes way too much energy to do EVERY TIME, Wade isn't the 24 year old guy slashing relentlessly any more.If you said wade should be the post almost every play then I'd agree with you there since he's one of the best post wings in the league.Of course that'd be when he's not the primary ball handler on the court...
however when he brings the ball up the court it allows him to read the defense and either facilitate or drive from the top of the key where he's best.

Yeah I exaggerated. He should be attacking the paint on EVERY play and if he can the basket. If he's tired because he's 30 years old (wimp) then he should sit more. It is a complete waste of time for Wade to stand outside the arc and put up shots. I cringe when I see it. It means that things are desperate.
I don't like Lebron putting up the threes either but atleast there is a chance he'll hit.
We've got a host of 3 point shooters who are there to do that and can do little else. Leave it to them. Wade and Bron get in the paint and make up for the big men that we don't have.
Bosh shouldn't take 3s either. and he must get stronger inside despite his best game being the 15 foot jumper.

One thing that expert and analysts pointed out (as very positive) at mid-season is how Wade had cut on his 3 point attempts and made most of his points by attacking the rim. But since ASG break, he reversed to his old self, taking 40 3pters (at 34%) in 20 games, while he took 13 (for 1 made) in 25 games before the ASG (and a few of them were 50foot end of Q heaves). I don't understand why he got back to taking those shots as it was obvious he's much more effective when he constantly attacks, and he's always been an average 3pt shooter. (the same goes for Lebron in a more moderate fashion, he went from 1.9 3pt/game to 3.0 after ASG)
Fatigue or laziness?

Wade had a stretch this season where he was essentially playing perfect basketball. Remember when he came back from the lower leg injury after being out 2 weeks and he was excessively efficient. I think since the allstar break this team has really been coasting in preparation for the playoffs. He has been taking a lot more long shot attempts since the ASG and I can only assume it is out of fatigue.
Also I don't ever expect Wade to be a good 3 pt shooter. He has always been a streaky long range shooter and has a nack for hitting them when it matters. What I would like to see from both he and lebron is for them to work on their ability to catch and shoot from all spots on the floor. Neither of them are comfortable at all shooting off of a pass. They both need to dribble into their shot and that is a necessity cause one of them is gonna be of the ball.

Yea definitely annoying seeing Wade just stand in corner of the three on a lot of the possessions.
Earlier in the season, Heat were playing great IMO because Wade and Lebron were involved in every play.Getting into post a lot more where they fed off of each other but I'm not sure why they went away from that or have done it less.
I still say it's fatigue(possibly coasting?) in both cases, it's easy to see when LeBron and Wade are fresh and energized.I think when playoff starts and gets back to a regular schedule(with 2-3 days rest between games). You'll see them back their old ways

Wade doesn't need a good three-point shot, he needs a consistent midrange jumper, as it is a great weapon in case your drive to the basket fails. He had a stretch this season when it was falling at a pretty good rate, but somehow he barely even attempts those shots anymore. Regarding his threes, all he needs to be is a solid spot-up shooter in catch-and-shoot-situations. We don't need pull-up-threes from either D-Wade or LeBron, let alone Bosh.

Here's the thing Wade or Lebron camped out at the three point line is by design.
Either we support this offense design by our "brilliant" coaching staff or modify it.
Lebron is a better three shooter, something I hope Wade works on. Wades inability to be a good
three shooter plays a role in our last shot problems

I also cringe when Wade attempts 3s. He is not a conventional 3-point shooter; he is horrible even when he is wide-open or at a spot-up, but he seems to hit them when he pulls up when coming in the halfcourt or pulls up randomly.
He doesnt need a 3-point shot in other to be a great scorer which is a blessing for a wing player but when he hits them consecutively it is a sight to behold.

This dude needs his jumpshot back. He has playoff series where he is MONEY!! Like against Boston.
But Wade's 3 point shot is ugly. He's 30% for his career and I hate hearing "you want Wade taking 3's if you're the other team". The other team wants Wade to not get to the FT line or get an easy bucket.
But if you really think about it, Wade and LBJ have to have a 3 ball, even Bosh. THE SPACING SUCKS AT THE END OF GAMES!!! We got to the FInals playing hero ball off of 3's.... but that crap needs to stop. Wade didn't hit 3's at the end of games in 2006 lol.

This was ONE of Wade's greatest games and the last two years against Boston in the playoffs... his jumper has been SICK!!! (near the middle to ending of the vid you see his raining of 3's...)
