For me I mostly just follow/read Skolnick and Windhorst. They seem on top of things, and not prone to hysterics. How about the rest of you?

Windhorst is a Cavs fan.

Haberstroh and Arnovitz were easily the best of the bunch last year, although Arnovitz doesn't seem to do nearly as much Heat Index work this year.

And will always read Ira as long as he's the hometown beat guy and his quips remain somewhat amusing

Windhorst, Skolnick, Reynolds, Haberstroh. In no particular order. But I hate Ira, he sucks.

I only trust Skolnick and Habersoth.

Never liked Ira. Still don't like him.

Yup, those two. Windhorst is absolutely atrocious, Ira is a negative nancy and the rest of the bunch is mediocre at best.
I also follow Ira, but mostly because he's a local writer who's been around for years.

Yeah Ethan and Tom.

I HATE WINDHORST AND IRA. I only look at Ira's tweets for updates or his "quotes" page, but other than that his basketball knowledge is just terrible(not saying I'm some genius). He makes bad conclusions. Just bad. I know he covered the HEat since the beginning but that don't mean **** to me lol.

Windhorst IS a Cavs fan. He was like, Heat fans don't deserve this type of team and I forgot what happened, LeBron had did something and LeBron said he didn't do X and Y for Z. But Windhorst made a whole article stating, OH YES YOU DID!!! Damn I completely forgot what it was about.

But he mostly talks about LeBron anyway than the actual Heat. He puts up some statistics and updates but that doesn't mean anything. He's also negative lol.

I'd rather you be a homer for the team you're writing about. Because I remember on those ESPN "Who do you think will win?", he put the Boston Celtics over the Heat last year in the 2nd round. It's like, are you serious?

Hollinger likes us more! lol.

I really liked those two from last year as well. Still keep up with Haberstroh. IIRC, Arnovitz had his assignment changed to a lot of Clippers coverage after Paul was traded, so I don't much read him any more.

Skolnick and Reynolds are my other favorites. I peruse Ira's stuff out of force of habit now, but he's largely hit or miss.

He's a Lebron fan. He's followed him around since High School. Plus he does a good journalistic job and doesn't fill his articles with a bunch of crappy opinions. Mostly sticks to just reporting what has been said. I think he's the best basketball journalist out there in terms of actually doing the job like a journalist and not some gossip columnist.

I think they are all mediocre at best, but if you had a gun to my head it would be Ira.

PS.
ESPN reporters are douchebags.

Tom Haberstroh. I have an intense dislike for every other Heat writer. Ira in particular is just atrocious.

I cannot stand Windhorst, it's easy to tell he does not like the Heat at all, and he's jsut a Lebron hanger-on. Haberstroh is the best of the bunch but still pisses me off sometimes. Ira is pretty annoying sometimes, but generally alright.

This. I also follow Chris Tomasson on Twitter. He's pretty fair and balanced, doesn't go into hysterics when things aren't going well unlike some other Heat columnists....coughIracough

Haberstroh and Arnovitz or whatever used to be the best. Pretty much only like Haberstroh now. Funny that no one has even mentioned Wallace :P I hate that guy's writing style.

1. Skolnick - Lots of cool interviews with players. Goes beyond the typical cliche crap. Has replied to me on twitter numerous times and is pretty funny.

2. Haberstroh. Good analysis of the game, points out lots of facts/figures/trends.

3. Wallace/Tomasson. Like RhapidKid, no opinion on them. Solid.

4. Ira. Pisses me off. Has never picked a question of mine for "Ask Ira" lol. However he's not bad on twitter in terms of pre-game info - saying who is going to play and who isn't, etc.

5. Windhorst. I don't really pay attention to him.

6. Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon, Barkley, and the rest of the knuckle heads on TV. *Middle finger*. I know they aren't writers, just wanted to take a quick jab at them.
