Mike Miller had a baby during last years playoffs and still played good. Hopefully the same with Bosh and he keeps his mind on the game.

I actually think his baby being born will allow him to focus more now on the playoffs, Im sure he wants his baby and wife to get through everything safely and healthy and once thats done, it should take some weight off his shoulders, and then I predict bosh is going to BEAST in the 2nd round

Better in the offseason. A little family planning goes a long way. Fortunately this is unlikely to cost us the series.

Probably the best game for him to miss because with Amare out they will have Melo at the 4 anyways so we move Lebron to the 4 and all is good

This is OUTRAGEOUS!!!! How dare he turn his back on his team! On the fans! I'm so angry right now....when we need him the most. For what?....:nonono:

Haha I wonder if his kid will do the bosh roar when it comes out.

Congrats to him. I don't think we really needed him for tonight's game with Amare out. The knicks only big in their lineup left is Chandler, and if we put Lebron at the 5, they can't play Chandler, and we can get more shooting out on the floor.

LOL hope the baby has the mothers looks. In 20 years from now Baby Bosh is playing for the Miami Heat haha and this will be good since Amar'e isn't playing.

Congrats to Bosh and all that, but im wondering does other star professional athletes usally take off playoff games because of this?

I dont really mind, just curious.
(I do think we need him on the court, but If the team is fine with him leaving then whatever).

Antonio Cromartie doesn't, or else he would miss entire seasons.

wow his daughter really looks like him, but she's very cute

I have to admit for a guy getting that kind of money on a team with such high expectations, planning a baby birth during the playoffs is not the most professional thing to do (unless it's premature obv)
Even I & my wife who both work normal jobs have arranged for our kids to be born at dates not interfering with our jobs

On the other hand it's family, and I understand that some people would not hold it against him. I don't either, I'm just surprised.

Good Bosh Answer From IRA

Q: Isn't it becoming increasingly clear that the Heat made the right choice with Chris Bosh when the alternatives at the time were Amare Stoudemire and Carlos Boozer? -- Edd, Pembroke Pines.

A: Yes, and it's why the Knicks and Bulls first went after Chris before settling for Amare and Carlos, respectively. And beyond talent, Chris has meshed well as someone willing to take a back seat to perimeter stars, something that appears to be an issue with Stoudemire
