Why have we gone away from posting up LeBron?

The thought just hit me earlier... Remember when we were posting LeBron up on every other play during the beginning of the regular season (when our offense looked unstoppable)?
Why have we gone away from that? If my memory is correct the offense never looked better when we had LeBron posted up on smaller defenders because it either forced double teams and left our sharp-shooters wide open or it gave LeBron a high percantage shot ( heck LeBron was putting up Jordan-like numbers during the first half of the season now that I think about it). When we were constantly running it at the beginning of the season I thought that was going to be our go-to move for the remainder of the year. Now we hardly ever see it...
Anyone have any stats/explanations/theories that can explain this?

Because Spo is Spobot and he is reverting back to the old offense of having Lebron play point guard.
He rather play Mike Miller and Shane Battier at the 3 and eliminate the use of Norris Cole.
So it's pretty much the same offense was last year now with less crappy but still crappy role players.
Norris Cole and Chalmers playing over Mike Miller lead to Lebron dominating...yet people only look like Norris Cole numbers and say he sucks. The Chalmers/Cole tandem lead to a more efficient Lebron.
There were many games Lebron didn't even touch the ball on the perimeter and he just pounded the rock into the post and shot 60 percent and he didn't even pass the ball.
Lebron focusing on solely scoring and play defense is more dangerous than him focusing on passing, scoring and defense.

So sad yet so true

This thread just made me more pissed about it.
Wade missed so many games that he had to be Cavs LeBron so i bet he just picked up on his bad habits from back then and it came back. who knows.

If I was to guess, I'd say Tyson Chandler is the reason. We could have gone to it after he fouled out, but he messes us up down low. PEACE.

But this has gone on before this series even started. As the regular season went on we posted LeBron up less and less.
EDIT: 3,000th post

It's kind of funny, but the more Lebron plays PG the less he posts up, even if he's being guarded by opposing point guards. It's to do with how slow we are in getting into our sets with Lebron at point. He dribbles the ball up and it's 17 seconds before he makes the first pass. Then he has to work his man into the post, and if its a PG they are allowed to push and shove him in the back all the way, and if he overdoes it they'll flop and he'll get an offensive foul on. So it takes him probably 8 seconds to get a good post position. So now it's 9 seconds on the clock. Now it's up to the rest of our players to set up a proper entry pass. Now it's 5 seconds on the clock and Lebron has had to come out closer to 3 point line because of a bad post entry pass. So now it's more of a faceup contested jumper situation.
And voila we've not taken advantage of the huge size advantage he has.
We just have to be quicker about it, and realize the situation better.
If this were 1989 Lebron could back his man down from half court like Magic and Barkley did. But with the new rules it's much harder for the point guard to play out of the post.

He isn't posting up at all, he's taking more midrange jumpers.

Wer'e just gonna have to rely on hero ball, again. We were 2 wins away from a title doing it last year. Just have to hope for the best

Hasn't Bron been playing the 4 more lately? He has a chance to postup, he just isn't. But then again, I'm not seeing Wade doing it much either. That's why my first guess was Ty.
Maybe Bron's being tasked with running the offense more. He turns the ball over more when he handles it too much. However, if that's his role lately, then he'll definitely see the floor better facing the rim.
I don't know where I saw it, but I think Haberstroh posted a stat around midseason showing Bron turns the ball over a lot when he's back is to the basket. Well...more than other scenarios. I don't know. I think his efficiency was off the charts when he was posting up more. PEACE.

Wade posted up A LOT in game 2.

I agree with this.
In another thread a poster mentioned Lebron at the 1 and 4. While I like Lebron at the 4 I don't really like him at the 1 as much. It ironically makes him less aggressive.
In the playoffs Chalmers will be playing close to 40 mins in tight games anyway.

The crazy thing is that it was at an all time high when he was posting up. That's part of the main reason as to why I'm so confused that the Heat have moved away from that.

We thrive when both Wade and LBJ are at the post.
But yes, Chandler being the great Center that he is, disturbs us there.
But I have seen Bibby and Baron Davis on LeBron, and he doesn't back them down or anything. Davis just busted up his knee cap, so don't give me that "he's strong" stuff.
LeBron isn't great in the post as we may think really... he needs more time with it in the off season. He was testing it out, but now we've just reverted to hit or miss and depend on our "sharp" shooters to hit anything.
Wade is better in the post, and after Game 2 I believe it was, I knew the Knicks would adjust to keep Wade out of the paint. They just with LBJ but Wade was another story.
Now both of them can't get into the paint unless it's in transition. They better win Game 5 or we're in a lot of trouble. The fact that they didn't create a better play to get the the rim without Chandler there and STATue there (drive to his injured hand), disturbs me. Missed opportunity big time.
I hate Coach Nick and his articles and videos, but he made an article saying to beat the Heat, you must take away their post play. But we do that to ourselves.... need more plays called in the post for LBJ/Wade. I also think Melo on LBJ has something to do with it.
http://www.bballbreakdown.com/how-to-be ... iami-heat/And this was during the AS break, where we looked unbeatable. After the AS break, we just went away from EVERYTHING....

LeBron makes questionable decisions at times. He had multiple miss matches Bibby,Chandler one with that rookie Josh Harellson he runs time off the clock and shoots that pull up J instead of attacking. He didnt even look to post up with Baron Davis on him also.. Just stood on the perimeter and shot jump shots.. Kind of sad noone tried to drive the lane when Chandler had 5 fouls also.. smh

50% of every wide open 3 comes from a post up
MM defender goes to help the post up
Knicks will live with MM/Battier wide open 3's

20 post per day? Not healthy

And yes blame lies with the Spobot.
