Bosh Injury Thread *Update Pg 6*
Does anyone know? I've been looking for updates but haven't seen anything definitive yet. Nice work for the team to get this one after Bosh went down.

Yeah, no sure status/announcement yet, but the buzz is he'll miss the rest of the series and possibly longer.
Let's wait for updates soon. Please, hope it's nothing serious

Re: Bosh Game 2 status?
Bosh will get an MRI. Spoelstra after the game: "I don't know anything more than you guys have been told (abdominal strain). (Bosh was in) a little bit of pain going into the locker room. We won't know until we get an MRI.''

Grade I (Mild): Mild discomfort, often no disability. Usually does not limit activity.
Grade II (Moderate): Moderate discomfort, can limit ability to perform activities such as crunches or twisting movements.
Grade III (Severe): Severe injury that can cause pain with normal activities. Often patients complain of muscle spasm and bruising.

A Wade abdominal strain cost us the championship in 05.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Doesnt look good, people act like he'll be ready for game 2. This injury might last a long time. Could cost us this series or even the next w/o bosh. Injury Bug bites us....just like most of the league

Grade 1 (Mild): Only a few muscle fibers are injured. This usually does not limit activity. Symptoms include stiffness; discomfort when moving the affected area and bruising. Recovery time is around three weeks.
Grade 2(Moderate): Large numbers of muscle fibers are injured. This will limit ability to perform activities such as crunches or twisting movements. Symptoms include pain while stretching and the injury site is tender to the touch. Recovery time is up to six weeks.
Grade 3 (Severe): The injured muscle is ruptured. Severe injury that can cause pain with normal activities. Symptoms include intense pain. In some cases, abdominal organs push through the tear (Abdominal Hernia - occurs when there is weakness in abdominal muscles allows stomach contents to bulge through the muscle wall. Abdominal hernias can occur in the lower abdomen near the groin, near the belly button, and in the area of previous surgical scars.). This requires surgery. Recovery time is around three months.

Re: Bosh Game 2 status?
Can he play through it?
We don't need him to rush back right now, and as good as Indiana is, Wade/LeBron should be enough...although they will get fatigued.
We're going to need him in the EC Finals (If it's Boston) and Finals if we make it there.
Edit:
Without an ounce of medical knowledge I'm going to guess it's not a Grade 3 (Severe) strain.

This, it doesn't sound bad, but can be a brutal injury. Let's hope for the best.

Re: Bosh Game 2 status?
The Heat will be fine against the Pacers. It will let us play LeBron at lot more at the PF, which should end up being a good thing.
Start Turiaf vs. Hibbert. Bring in Joel when Hibbert goes out. Start Haslem but keep him on a short leash, and slide LeBron to PF if Haslem is not performing well. Bring in Battier/Miller at SF.

Just hoping it's minor and he can be back quickly. I think we can assume he's not coming back next game. UD, Braveheart and the Warden need to step up. Rio and Miller need to contribute with shooting. PEACE.

Re: Bosh Game 2 status?
Alright, now I'm scared.
An abdominal strain doesn't sound bad... but the fact that Bosh is our only big man (doesn't even play like one though), we need him badly.
UGGGHHH THIS SUCKS. I can't believe we have been hit by an injury. And it's because the Pacers want to be so damn rough. **** these guys.

Re: Bosh Game 2 status?
Pittman and Turiaf, hopefully they can combine to fill in for Bosh with some stepping up by LBJ and Wade (like today).
But the ECF and Finals is what I fear more without Bosh.
Just hope it's not serious.
