Haslem?

I didn't want to create a thread but its gone to far. What has happened to Haslem? I mean the dude is terrible right now. I remember when his jumper wasn't falling he would play great D or take a charge. Right now; rebounding sucks, his passing is worse and his jumper is completely gone. You know its hit an all time low, when Spo even notices is it and benches him. Haslem is Mr. 305 and I love what he has done for this community and Team but man is he bad right now. I never thought it was possible but would Riley trade him in the off-season if this keeps us?
So far in the playoffs;
7 games: 2.5 ppg, 5rpg on .27% shooting in 18minutes. All while playing terrible Defense.

Who cares... bigger problem is we have Spo coaching this team.

Joel > UD (It's come to that)
UD doesn't even look happy out on the court, I see no emotion

Haslem regressing IS A PROBLEM.
HE IS THE FREAKIN' CAPTAIN. HEART OF MIAMI RIGHT?
Out of all people who should be stepping up, is Haslem the most.
Maybe he's comfortable off the bench or something, I don't know.
But I miss our warrior man. In games like this, he would be getting an insane amount of rebs. Maybe it's the Pacers, his athleticism, maybe not the same after his injury (though we saw glimpses of old Haslem this year), I don't know.
But even his jumper is whack. He has to turn back the clock for us man. We wanted role players to step up and UD should be one of the first people to be stepping up. I was so angry when I read him saying "I don't need to score, lebron and wade will take the scoring load". NO DUDE, EVERYONE ELSE HAS TO CONTRIBUTE MORE.
Bosh is a guy who can go off for 30 and on a consistent base is 18 and 8.. we're missing a huge piece of our offense man. Role players have to collectively make an effort...
Btw, I know he played 11 minutes and his minutes are reduced. JOEL HAS BEEN PLAYING BETTER THAN HIM LOL! But Joel doesn't have a jumpshot. It just shows the kind of confidence even Spo is having in him. He's been THAT BAD.
UD was one of our guys in the end right with the Big 5? Battier has taken his place, HE HAS BEEN THAT BAD! Bat and Miller spread the floor more but still.
Btw I remember people were like we don't need Kenyon Martin, he's older and we have Haslem. Yeah well Martin has been playing better and having a better impact for his team LOL.

Haslem was supposed to be our backup plan if Bosh ever went down. A PF who could rebound, defend and hit the open jumper. Haslem is playing scared right now. I don't know what happend but the guy has lost his game. By far the worst player on the floor right now is Haslem. Joel used to be the worst but Joel is actually hustling on D and grabbing rebouds. Haslem is doing neither.....
Fun Fact of the game: Joel Anthony had more missed Dunk attempts(2) then points(0.0) LOL

Mike Miller is either Amnesty next year or traded. The dude is playing the last season in a HEAT uniform.

HASBEEN sucks, Miller sucks, Battier sucks.
I'm not going to be suckered into thinking these clowns are worth something until they show up consistently. Once in a blue moon they have a good game and I gain hope, only to be shot down for the next few weeks.
Riley really screwed up.
*I thought they were good signings at the time so no, I don't consider myself to a be a better talent evaluator.

i really believe it has something to do with the excruciating pressure that comes with playing for the heat
every game, every possession, every shot is magnified 800%
the heat are the only team in sports history critiqued from second to second

the answer to this is pretty easy. his injury last year really hurt his game. its the only viable reason why he has shown flashes between last postseason and this season but never can keep it consistent. UD used to be the model of consistency.
its not crazy to think that someone over the age of 30 who has a serious injury would go from solid role player to fringe role player because of that injury.
it sucks and God I hope I am wrong.

Yeah it probably has something to do along those lines. It's either our system where most, if not all of our offense is for the Big 3 and the other plays get no shot or it's just because it gets in their head. With this team, I guess the saying is, oh if you take a shot you BETTER make it! Playing with Wade n Bron probably gets in their heads....too nervous to shoot or else they'll get ripped for not making it but the truth is we SUFFER when they don't.

undersized pfs tend to regress quicker than regular sized pfs. it just happens- Boozer is a great example of this.

He just hasn't been the same since the foot injury. It might be affecting his lift. He came back too soon last year, and had to have surgery again in the offseason. Maybe it just didn't have enough time to heal...I don't know. I know he doesn't like reporters asking about it though.
I like our co-captain. I was seriously hoping he'd come through this game. 2-5 isn't bad, considering he'd have been 0-5 earlier in the season. I didn't see him having issues on defense, but maybe he did. Spo's not playing him much though. If he's that bad, he shouldn't even start, though.
I will say this...there's no way Howard should even sniff the court. He's like a million times worse than UD.
We have a problem with Bosh out. We've all been so focused on the center position over the last two years, that we forget just how thin we are at PF. With Bosh healthy, it's not a big deal, since he can play heavy minutes there. When Haslem was out, Bron could cover those extra minutes fine. However, with Bosh out, Haslem can't play those heavy minutes, meaning Bron has to do it and play SF and spot minutes at PG. Our PF rotation is currently:
Haslem, Bron, Shane (LOL), Howard
Shane sucks at PF...at least against this team. Bron has enough minutes everywhere else, he should only be playing the amount of minutes there that he did in the regular season. Haslem has to fill in Bosh's minutes.
The only other way to keep Shane and Juwan out of the PF slot is to maybe try playing Joel there with Turiaf/Pittman at center. Of course, that's easily the worst frontcourt imaginable, with no ability to hit a jumpshot.
I don't think Spo's job is easy here, but he has to find a way to manage minutes. It's all dependent on finding a solution for Bosh's minutes. That's gotta be Haslem. PEACE.

Haslem has to do better that's all there is to it.
We have no alternatives.

Jokingly i would say its the hair.
Seriously even before his injury he was regressing but still tried to make up for it with his hustle and grit. The idea that Haslem was even made a captain above Lebron or Bosh is just wrong on so many levels. Right now were back to force feeding him mins as our starting PF before Bosh got hurt. Look at his numbers this season and ask why in the world do you start him? That said if UD was a little bit taller or a true 6'10 player he would be perfect as a center here, sadly hes just to undersized but he plays with all his heart
Maybe we dont do the right type of practice with our role players. Instead of just focusing on defense why not make them practice in game situations. Ive lost count how many time Mike, UD or Battier have an open look but think the basketball is a hot potato. We need them to shoot if they are open not pass the ball

@tomhaberstroh: At practice, Pat Riley talking to Udonis Haslem off to the side. Something's not right with Haslem recently.
@tomhaberstroh: Among 92 players with at least 125 minutes this postseason, Udonis Haslem ranks dead-last with a 5.9 PER.
True it's more than an injury, honestly he doesn't even show emotion or energy out there

Haslem has come down to Juwan Howard standards. And I hate to say that
