Game 4 Do or Die.. Can LeBron score 40?

Can Lebron score over 35 at least? He might need to do this and just slack on defense and hope other guys pick him up in order for the Heat to stand a chance. The bigger issue is that he needs to close. We all know he's scared of the moment and stays away from that ball in crunch time. LeBron might have to put up a MVP worthy performance to save the season This is do or die. You can't be the best player in the world as disappear when its obvious the team needs you most. No Bosh, Wade isn't 100%, the rest of the squad stinking it up ... Is he capable of pulling it off? I'm not talking about talent wise I'm talking about does he have it inside him to play desperate and hungry?

I guess he was afraid of the moment when he was closing out Boston and Chicago too he can't get 40 if he has to guard the 4 position for most of the game. We have to hope that Wade steps up and the role players give us enough. It's simple as that.

At a certain point there has to be a player step up especially when he's the best in the world and says "ride my back" ... he did it against the Pistons some years ago. There is NO supporting cast right now,. The Pacers are too big and too deep for LeBron to have a 23, 7, 7 game and that be enough unless some guys go off. Chalmers went for 25 and that still wasn't enough cause Wade didn't show up.

Also you can talk about him closing out Boston and Chicago but ever since then the guy has the ball with less than 2 min left and he wants no part of the game unless he's playing against a horrible team. Come on did you watch game 2 against the Pacers? The guy wanted ZERO part of the game. Doesn't even attack the hole, doesn't try to make a play with less than a minute left like he would in quarter 1 or 2. Lets just be honest here ... anyone who thinks this guy hasn't mentally shrunken from the moment ever since the finals is lying to themselves. Lets be clear ... watch the end of game 2 against Indy and you'll see scared "no I don't want the ball" LeBron. Hot Potato wasn't trending for no reason right after the game. Anybody remember Drexler and the dream both went for 40 during their title run. Sometimes your stars have to take over. NBA is a stars league. Maybe the roll players step up for game 5 at home but for game 4 you don't take chances. If you're the league MVP you do everything you can to set the tone and take over a game.

You realize that he doesn't have driving lanes? Why would Indy not put up a wall every play against LeBron? He can't just put his head down and run into defenders.

LeBron can certainly go off. He's done it before, as you have noted. But if he's going to do that, he will need to knock down outside shots. Against Detroit, he was hitting long off balance jumpers, fadeaways, etc.

What's most likely the path to victory is creating turnovers and getting into transition, or getting Hibbert into foul trouble.

meh.... I was shocked that LeBron disappeared in the 2nd half. I'd have to look and see why. They do double him and LeBron says when he's doubled he passes the ball so....

We lost game 3 in the 3rd quarter, and we lost that game. The same way we lost Game 2 only we tried to rally back.

This has to be a team effort with everyone showing up, rebounding and defense.

But our role players have hit a new low (Battier sucks ass, trade him, I thought he would be coming through by now, worthless), Bosh out, Wade apparently injured, LeBron can't do it all and play 45 minutes or whatever he hell Spo is going to do.

No way dude .... He was hitting fall away shots and all that bug all the big shots were going to the hole. EVERY single big shot he hit the closer the game was to ending was DRIVING. You know why? No pick n roll. He isolated his man and took him to the hole no matter what. You isolate him with the shooters spread and with his vision if a big comes to double it should be an easy dunk. At worst its an open 3 for somebody. That pick n roll is not helping him. He told the pick setter to move in that Piston game cause he didn't want to give the ball up. Now? He's eager to give that ball up. Keep in mind I'm talking all under 2 min left. I'm not talking 4 quarter all the way. Just watched Kobe who's no where near who he used to be close out a game. Why? He isolated, zero picks. Durant in game 2 against LA ... just took his man off the dribble and attacked. It took Pierce to have his GREATEST game ever and Allen, and KG to hit big shots to take him out. Pacers don't have a Pierce ... their core is good but they are no where NEAR that Celtics team. Sure Wade might have to drop at least 18-20 ... LBJ needs to STEP IT UP and under 2 min left not play hot potato with the ball. I just watched game 2 again from the 3 min mark ... its disgusting to watch him get rid of the ball as soon as it was in his hands. He is playing PG, SF, PF for u. If people do their job, he would be killing the Pacers right now as they have no one to control him. With Wade sucking in game 3, the Pacers started building a wall around the basket on Lebron in the 2nd half.
