Dwight Howard only one in last decade to do 40-and-18 in a playoff game. He had 1 assist that game. LeBron had 9 today.
EDIT: and from espn:
LeBron James with 40 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists. No one has done that in a playoff game in over 25 years. No one.

Jesus, the numbers from those 2 are ridiculous. So happy they're on our team. What games from both of them.

I loved how Lebron got Wade going at the end of the 2nd quarter. It gave Wade a spark and he came through big time. Somebody else has to step up though for them to win. Give job for Haslem this time around.

Watching them play together at that level. **** man it doesn't get any better than that. Our superstars picking up our team and idiot coach to a win. It may be a shame that this team is forced to need heroes, but we're lucky to have the two biggest heroes in the game.
Beyond Wade's bananas shooting in the 2nd half it was great to see him facilitate. I've missed seeing him make plays as a passer. Watching him work with Haslem in the 4th brought a tear to my eye.

ELIAS: LeBron is the 1st player to put up at least 40-18-9 in a playoff game in over half a century. (Elgin Baylor, '61)

Rewatching the second half. We don't give LeBron enough credit for getting Wade going and Wade for virtually not missing a shot.

Actually, we have. The guy who hasn't received enough credit is Haslem. It may sound minor, but he nailed the shots every other role player failed to convert. While the Pacers defense was so keen on trapping Wade and James to force them into passing the ball, he's the only one who punished them while everybody else missed very good looks at the basket once again. So kudos to UD for being the one to step up in this most important game and shoot yourself out of your funk.

He finally stepped up. He was 2/11 for 6pts in the series. He added 14pts (5/6) tonight. If he played like this every game... Ah, don't mind. Great performance at the right moment.
